"Let me know when your clothes arrive so that I can help sort them." He waved as he walked away. "Feel free to knock on my door at any time, okay?"

"Thanks again Adrien, will do." I waved him off and proceeded to close the door. I took a deep breath and looked around the room a little more. In front of my bed, there sat a little ottoman. It was the same one from when I was a child, but there was something different about it. Maybe the countless blankets that are neatly folded onto it, or the soft-looking pillow. No. There was definitely something that bugged me. What was it?

Suddenly, it hit me. Right there in the center sat a little blob of white and blue. Something that looked like ears poked out from the top and a tail wrapped around the torso. A wave of emotions hit me at once and I fell to my knees. I picked up the toy from years ago and felt the once white yarn in my hand. Remembering there is a name somewhere on the doll, I began to turn the kitten multiple times. Nowhere could I find the name that I could have been sure was there. I brought it to my bed and pulled it close and smelled it. I could tell that they had washed it thoroughly which is probably why the name had disappeared.

Before I could think about it even longer, a knock sounded. When I opened the door, an old woman in a uniform was walking away. In front of my door, she had left my suitcases. On top of the largest suitcase was a note. It had been folded neatly in half on a couple of pieces of torn notebook paper. I called out a thank you, and she meekly turned around and gave a slight bow.

I pulled all of my belongings into my room and then opened the note.

Dear Mr. Graham De Vanily,

I was in charge of making sure that your room was left in prime condition. I would like to let you know how everything is set up, and what I've done with some of the items you left here.

I would first like to start with the layout of the room. I hope you don't mind, but I've kept the layout the same. This includes the location of the bed and closet. I have added a desk with some computers that mirror Adrien's set up. I set it up with the idea that you would personalize it later. There are keyboard covers and other stuff like that in the lower left compartment on your desk. Anyways, you also have a new tv. You will find the remote on the TV stand. A gaming system and a movie playing system have been hooked up. If you want to find any sort of game or book, please walk upstairs to the upper half of your room.

In the upper section of your room, there are a couple of bookshelves and cabinets filled with movies. Also, I set up a reading nook similar to the one you had as a child. The blankets on the ottoman which is at the foot of your bed are ones that I found stowed away in your closet. I suggest that you use them when using the reading nook because the AC is right across from there.

That brings me to the next reason as to why I'm writing this. Along with these blankets, I found the kitten plush. I had to wash it because of the amount of dust and nasty smell that was coming from the pile. I had noticed that there was something written on the bottom, but it was written in a red washable marker, so I figured that it would come off. If it is of any importance to you, the name at the bottom was "Lady Spot".

Well, that concludes the things that I wanted to bring to your attention. If you need any more help, I usually work in the laundry room.

I hope you find everything comfortable,

Phoebe Martin

I couldn't believe it. She was so considerate. The blankets and the name made me so happy. Ms. Martin really made sure to tell me everything she knew. I neatly placed the note into my nightstand drawer. I was too excited to even think about cleaning my room.

Again, another knock sounded. I opened the door to find my mother there.

"So how is everything?" She ruffled my hair and walked in. She looked around and soaked everything in. "It looks amazing!" She clapped her hands and looked out the large window.

"It's all very nice, and I agree with you." I smiled and put an arm around her shoulder. I gave her a quick hug before I showed her around like a little kid. "And look! They were nice enough to give me a reading nook, just like when I was little!" I admired the hanging seat and stacks of books next to it. An enormous amount of pillows was covering the seat, and it seemed as if nothing could get better.

All of a sudden, Adrien walked into my room and smiled.

"How's everything going guys?" He questioned as he looked around some more.

"Great honey," mother hugged him and laughed. "You two have grown so much! I can't believe it." She pulled us both into a tight hug.

"Uh, Aunt Amelie? I think I need to breathe." Adrien said quietly.

Mother quickly released the both of us. "Well, we have to go eat dinner. I actually asked Nathalie if I could get you guys." She walked out of the room. "Let's go!"
