My sister had a glaze look on her face, she was zoned out and clearly had something on her mind. But what was it ?
"Sissy where's mommy" I asked, hoping that she would play more attention to me now but still no reaction. I gave out a little sigh. It was so hot in the forest, no wind. You could hear the noise of the bee's buzzing and the the birds tweeting it was like a little melody. I asked my sister again
"Sissy where is mommy" she finally acknowledged me. She looked down with her massive shined blue eyes that just made you feel so warm inside.
"Sorry nova I don't know where she is." My sister never lies. It's not in her nature but this time, this time I knew she was hiding something. I went to question her but the silence was broken by a Russel in the bushes. My sister shouted at me to get behind her and this creature creeped closer. I did as I was told. My sisters ears dropped as she realised what the creature was.
"Missed me?" said a cold deep voice as it emerged from behind the dark bushes. The warmth that I could feel earlier was gone. A thick dark fog began to surround the forest floor sending chills down my spine.
"Been along time Tifa." How did he know my sisters name ?
"Not long enough." My sister pushes me back and began to stand her ground giving a slight growl.
"Now no need to get yourself all worked up is there. You wouldn't want nova to see what I'm capable of would you?" I could see the guy more clearly now. His hair was as black as night but his skin as white as snow. Is eyes where blood red and he had a grin that could freak anyone out.
"Sissy where mommy I'm scared" I said but th guy began to grin even more.
"So you haven't told her?" My sisters face tensed up even more. She tightened her fists.
"Leave Raphael, before I do something I regret" his grin began to fade into a cold stare. He looked into my eyes, it felt like my whole body was getting colder. I could feel the darkness inside of him.
"Now we wouldn't want your sister to watch you get ripped apart by a vampire would we?" A Vampire?! it made sense now.id heard about vampires before but I thought they where myths. I'd never seen one in person before.
I look back at my sister. Her loving blue eyes from before where now jet black. She was ready to fight. My sister looked back at me
"Get ready to run" she whispered as she turned back to look at Raphael.
"NOW NOVA" I turned and ran as fast as I could. I could feel the wind pass threw my ears. One thing I remembered from the stories was vampires are incredibly fast. A Wolf has no chance at outrunning one. My sister was giving me time to escape. As I got further thew the forest the quieter it became. I could no longer hear my sisters yelps. It was silent. I was alone. For the first time in my life I had no one. I had just lost my sister to the blood sucking creatures of the dead.
It was getting darker as the evening turned into night. I know I wouldn't stand a chance being out here alone if I didn't find shelter. I tried to run but I couldn't I was to tired to move. I had no choice but to curl up by a tree and pray I would survive till morning. As I closed my eyes I could see a shadow in the distance but I was too tied to opening my eyes again. I was too tired to do anything . I could hear a voice as I drifted of to sleep
Something was grabbing me, shaking me. My eyelids felt like heavy weights as I tried my hardest to open them. They finally open to let a bright light in. My face scrunched and I began to blink rapidly. it was morning, but I was no longer in the forest. I looked around, I was in a house but why?
"Your awake" came a voice from the room next room. It was a soft quite voice one I recognised. I was finally awake. It was just a dream.
"Sweetie what's wrong" she said as she came into my room holding my uniform.
"Bad dream again" I said as I tried to slow down my breathing.
"Same one ?"
I've had this dream nearly every night now. Always the same. My adopted family found me when I was just a little pup. They took me in gave me clothes and an amazing life. My mother, liana and father, Daniel were humans.
Humans were not meant to be found with and other different species, in fact it was a crime. That's why I had to be home schooled and be hidden from everyone. It wasn't the worst but I had no friends, nobody to talk to. I was often very lonely.
But today, today was the day I could finally get out and go to school. It was a special school for the 'shadows' that's what we all get called. All the species other than humans. But I didn't care I was finally going to be allowed to leave, meet people like me. It was a boarding school, I would stay in the dorms but I couldn't not go home until school finished. I was exited and nervous all at the same time and I started today.
