Chapter 13 True Colours

Arriving back to the room to tell their possible transfer, Yeji got puzzled with the scene of Ryujin treating Yuna's wounded fist with a bandage and how Mark (Got7) guided his men out with some, limping and wounded. "What happened here?" she asked but was answered with silence. It finally hit Yeji the heavy feeling surrounding the room.

"Who...who are you?" after hardly contemplating, Lia decided to ask the million-dollar question. "Everything we witnessed just now, were surreal. I think we... can ask for an explanation?" at first, Chaeryoung doesn't want to bother asking due to the possibility of hitting Ryujin and Yuna's bad side, considering how good they were in fighting. But then again, she also weighed that those two didn't bother tagging them along, meaning that they are good people. So, she decided to support Lia's question.

Ryujin and Yuna briefly glanced at each other before returning their gaze to the trio. "We're not bad people" Yuna stated but wasn't followed with any information that can answer their schoolmates. "Then, what are you?" with Yeji somewhat realizing what happened, she shot back.

Yuna was about to defend themselves but Ryujin held her shoulder signaling for her to stop. Seeing that Ryujin let out a sigh, Yuna understood that her childhood friend will finally spill the tea about their identity.

"My mother is a scientist who works for the government. Given her nature of work, danger would come not only to her but also to me as her daughter and only family. It's either threat from an enemy or from the government itself. So, I was trained to fight ever since I was young along Yuna as my support if things go rough . But my mother stated something that intrigued me, that aside from the stated possible dangers, we will need to use our strength for what's yet to come." Drifting through her memories, Ryujin explained.

"So, are you saying that your mother knew that this would happen?" Lia questioned. "Most likely, but there's only one way to find out." Ryujin replied. "To meet her" she added. "Do you have any idea where?" this time, Yeji asked back. "It's a shot to the moon but I bet it's the same place I know." Recalling her memories with her mom. She concluded a possible place for the laboratory.

"You don't need to come with us." Ryujin stated, pertaining that Lia and Chaeryoung were now out of danger from the infected and that Yeji, considering to be Lia's close friend, will help and protect them from here on with Ryujin and Yuna's absence. "But..." Lia was about to protest but Yeji stopped her. "She's right. It's not our fight. We should be thankful that we all reached the checkpoint safely."

Uneasiness can be seen on Lia's eyes. She was bothered by this heavy feeling on her chest like there's something bad to happen, as if it's going to be the last time, she would see them. The last time to gaze on Ryujin face to face. "Ryujin..." it was a faint call from Lia but Ryujin was able to hear it making her eyes meet Lia's.

"Please... comeback alive." Forcing a smile, Lia wasn't able to control her bothered self and let her tears fall. It was a surprise from the receiving end. If things were a little different and fine, Ryujin would simply slap Lia with the reality of feeling more heart broken the moment you force a smile when you're completely not okay but considering what's happening, everyone can be emotional.

"We will. All of you should stay alive so that when everything's over, we shall meet again back at school" Ryujin stated with a small smile patting Lia's head. "And with the point of staying alive, that includes you Ms. Hwang Yeji." In a snap, Ryujin's eyes became sharper as she looked at the latter. Once again, the room was filled with silence and puzzlement reacting to the mix of tone on Ryujin's last words. They were awakened back to their senses the moment Mark arrived back , signaling the two Shins' departure. That was also the time for Yeji, Chaeryoung and Lia's departure to a safer place.

After a few curves and turns that Mark followed with Ryujin's direction, he was surprised to see a church that was out of the main streets of the city. "Are you sure this was the place?" he asked which was deadpan answered by Ryujin "No". It sounded sarcastic but Ryujin was truthful to her answer for she wasn't really sure if it's the right place.

Yuna forced herself not to chuckle on the savage moment and instead instructed "You can leave us here, Mr. Tuan. Say hi to your boys when you get back" with as smile, Yuna exited the armoured vehicle after Ryujin. It made Mark let a dry cough with the student's last remark about his men, remembering what they did.

After Mark left, the two approach the big wooden door of the church. But before entering, Yuna spoke "hey, you should've hug Lia when she cried." Knowing Yuna, Ryujin didn't even flinch with the sudden statement. "Stop teasing, Shin Yuna" she answered. " THAT'S HOW YOU COMFORT PEOPLE, YOU ROBOT" Yuna countered before continuing their purpose.

With Yuna pushing the door open, there revealed, as expected an empty church, the silence was earie for the both of them. Taking a step in, the duo froze, the moment silencer guns were pointed as the side of their heads. With Yuna on her left and Ryujin on her right.

"Looks like they were expecting us?" Yuna stated side glancing the man in suit on her left. "Of course, they do." The moment Ryujin reached the end of her statement, both snapped to take actions like they were mirroring each other's moves. Grabbing the arm, taking a step in as they twist their shoulder, both men groan in pain with the two able to steal their guns and finally hitting the enemies' back of the neck with the gun resulting to a total knockout in just a split second.

Blowing air out of her mouth, Yuna stated "that was cute" pertaining to the welcome they received. "Wait. Why are they expecting us? We're just here to see your mom, not that we're going to burn the whole lab or something." She added.

"Maybe, we will."

Ryujin stated and as if on cue, both shot all CCTV's which was all directed to them.
