My Best Friend's Brother (A Reece Mastin Fanfic)

Chapter 3

Heyyyy :) I’m so so so sorry that this is a week late, I didn’t have my laptop last Saturday :( Here is chapter 3!!!! Hope you like it :D

"Qantas flight QF693 to Sydney is now boarding” came through the loud speaker.

Reece hugged his parents and said goodbye. He hugged Liv, Georgie and Philippa and then stood in front of me. He wrapped his arms tightly around my waist as I threw my arms around his neck and nuzzled my head into the crook of his neck. After a few minutes his grip loosened and we pulled back from the hug.

“I’m going to miss you” I said. He kissed my forehead.

“I’m going to miss you too, but I’ll see you soon.”

“Call me when you arrive and good luck” I called as he started to walk off. He smiled at me over his shoulder and waved as he disappeared onto the tarmac.

We got back into the car once the plane had left and headed to the dance studios. The car pulled up out the front and me and Georgie hopped out. We ran inside and went the change rooms to change into our leotards and put on our pointe shoes. We had an hour of Ballet, which went slowly and I kept getting distracted because I was thinking about Reece, wondering what he was doing, if he was okay or when I would see him again.

“Ash.....Ashlie” Georgina was tapping my arm.

“What”

“Ashlie, you missed the balancé and chassé, concentrate please” Ms Ellie, my teacher didn’t look very happy. I was happy when the lesson was over and quickly left the room. I ran to the change rooms and threw my pointe shoes into my bag. I put my jumper on and grabbed my lunch and phone before heading outside for our break. I sat down with Georgie, Taylor and Amber and started eating. I frowned as I checked my phone and there were no missed calls or messages.

“Ash, are you alright? You seem kind of distant” Taylor asked

“Huh, oh yeah I’m fine”

“I knew you and Reece were close but I didn’t know he had this much of an effect on you” Georgie said.

“What, no, he doesn’t, I don’t know what you’re talking about Georgie” I blushed but she just smirked at me. Amber changed the subject and soon it was time for Contemporary.

“You better focus Ash, you know what Ms Hayley is like” Georgie reminded me.

“I know, I will, thanks Georgie” I said standing up and hugging her before heading back into the dance studio.

Contemporary went slowly as well and I was trying really hard to concentrate. I missed a few of the steps and I was desperately hoping that Ms Hayley didn’t see, but she did, and she didn’t look impressed. The lesson ended and I started to leave as Ms Hayley pulled me aside.

“Ashlie, I don’t want a repeat of today’s lesson next week, sort out whatever’s going on before next lesson”

“Yes Ms Hayley” I said and left quickly. I grabbed my bag and checked my phone, but there were still no missed calls or messages. As I started walking out, my phone rang, it was Reece. I answered it as quick as possible. He just told me that he was okay and then he had to go because he was busy but he promised to call me again soon. Just before he hung up he told me he missed me already and I blushed, Georgina looked at me curiously but didn’t hassle me about it. Me and Georgina walked out of the studios, hugged each other and said goodbye before I got into my mum’s car and went home.
