It was a hunting trip. This time Raja wanted to refresh his mind by hunting animals. He and a group of his soldiers went to a hunting field which was full of various animals. Wild ox, hyena, deer, fox, bear. The hunting trip would last for weeks if they couldn't find what they were seeking for. It was the fourth day that they were in the field and haven't found anything yet; even a rabbit.
Shah was at his tent that one of the soldiers approached him. He was very tired and thirsty, his lips were dry and he barely could speak. He said," your majesty my lord. We found a deer." The king laughed out loud and said," finally! Where? Where is the deer?" In an excited tone.
He mount on his horse and went to the hunting area as fast as he could. He yelled as he arrived," where is the deer waiting for me to hunt him?? Hahaha."
The soldiers showed him the deer. It was a big, light brown deer with white spots on his back. The soldiers have concealed around waiting for order of shah. The excited king wanted to kill the poor animal himself; so he toke his bow and hide behind a tree. Put the arrow in the bow and waiting for a good time to shoot. He took a deep breath and threw the arrow toward the poor deer. But it was a mess shot. The animal felt danger and escaped as fast as he was able to. The kind shouted," follow him! You should not miss that deer! I want him." Then he mount on his horse rapidly and begun tracking the poor animal.
The escaping and following lasted about one and a half hour. The king and his soldiers were very tired; so was the animal. The king was walking exhausted at the back of his soldiers. As he was coming he saw a soldier coming to him." Your majesty, we have surrounded the deer. If you consent, we will hunt him down and bring it to you." Said the soldier as he reached. " no, no," cried the king " i have to kill that deer myself. He has made me so tired. Now he has to face my sharp dagger." By saying that shah came down from his horse and joined to the circle. He ordered to make the circle smaller and smaller until they catch the animal. As they were doing so, they put the deer in a manmade cage.
One of the generals said," your highness my lord. Soldiers are making the animal more anxious. It may jump over us." The king nodded his head and said," you are right. Any one who let the deer escape again will face to my angry face instead of this animal. As a punishment he have to bring the deer alive to me. If not i will cut his skin off and hung it on mg bedroom's wall. Understood ! " and all soldier cried loud," yes !"
The poor animal didnt know what to do. Any way that he chose, faced to sharp spears and shields of the soldiers. So naturally he decided the easiest way to escape; jumping over the only one who didn't have any shield or sword. The deer jumped over shah Abbas and run as fast as possible.
The king was shocked. He didnt thought that the deer would jump over him. Then he jumped on his horse rapidly and followed the animal as fast as he could. The rest of the soldiers couldn't keep up with him.
