(Backstory)
It was the summer of Fluttershys first time at "Young Daredevils Camp." and believe it or not, she was scared out of her mind. Sure school was rough with all the bullies mocking her with the nickname "klutzershy" but at least you didn't have to be athletic to fit in.
Fluttershys parents thought this would be a great opportunity for her to make new friends and improve on her social skills.

After she was registered and her parents had left, shy was escorted by a coach to where the other kids were. Fluttershy instantly recognized her tormentors and gulped. "Why did they sign me up for this?"

Fluttershy was one of the last people to do the sky diving event. She nervously made her way up on to the little cardboard cloud cliff thing and gaped down. Nothing but sky as far as she could see. That meant the drop was extra far. Her eyes practically shrunk as she quivered severely. "Y-you know what I really don't think I should-" before she knew it, the coach had shoved her off the little cloud to pull her parachute on her own.
For a brief second she paused, stunned in the air then she realized the situation she was in. Her arms slammed against her body as she poured down through the sky shrieking. She thought she was about to die when she finally landed safely on a big net. "Oh thank goodness."

Just then all the kids from the other events ran down to where she was and started chanting "Fluttershy, Fluttershy, Fluttershy can hardly fly."
It was mortifying to say the least. The coach rolled his eyes and lent a hand to pull her up. Fluttershy was trying to hold back her tears. "God why do I have to be so sensitive?!" The next thing was an obstacle course. This one was a bit easier but Fluttershy has convinced herself that she was done for at this crazy camp. She jumped through a hoop thing and landed swiftly "hey! That wasn't half bad!" She continued making her way through the obstacle course (which in reality wasn't scary at all.)
The final thing was a long vertical slide that was practically a death drop into a bunch of bean bag cushions. "Is this an athletic camp or a death wish?" She wondered. She started backing up hoping no one would notice that she was trying to escape her doom. She went backwards tripping over some kids foot. She flailed her arms trying to balance but that just seemed to lean her forward. She fell head first right on the slide and slid down at sonic speed all while screaming her head off. she landed with a thud at the bottom barely missing the bags. "Ugh..." she looked up when she heard some chaotic laughter. Her bullies had been not so far away and had come to tease her.

"Nice goin, klutzershy. You should just stay indoors permanently," Dumbbelle said. Hoops swooped in, "my baby brother can do more than you."
To an 8 year old Fluttershy, this was the most humiliating moment ever. She just sat there and took it, trembling the whole time trying not to cry. All of the sudden something...rainbow? Flashed by. Fluttershys vision was clouded over with her tears. She quickly wiped them away.

A young girl- who looked a little shorter than her-stood in front of her with one arm out shielding Fluttershy. "Leave her ALONE!" The girl shouted.

The bullies laughed. "Ooo I'm soooo scared. What are you gonna do Rainbow CRASH?"

This made the girl even more furious. "Keep makin fun of her and find out!"

Dumbbell grunted. "You think you're such a big shot? Why don't you prove it!"

The girls face changed into a smirk. "What'd you have in mind?"

"A race! In 5 minutes sharp over there!" Hoops pointed to the relay race area.

"You're on!" She yelled back. The boys took off laughing their heads off.
"You're goin down crash!"

The girl shouted back: "In history maybe! See you boys at the finish line!" She turned around to look at Fluttershy. She extended her arm, taking it, Fluttershy looked into the eyes of her protector. She was so amazing, she had beautiful magenta eyes, blue skin, and the most unique hair of a rainbow.
Fluttershy forgot how to speak.

"Hey are you okay?" The rainbow haired girl asked.

"I-uh yes uh thank you...," she responded awkwardly.

"No problem at all," the girl reached out her arm to Fluttershy. "I'm Rainbow Dash! What's your name?"

Rainbow Dash. What a fitting name.

Fluttershy looked down at Rainbow Dash's hand. "I'm um...Fluttershy."

"Did you say Fluttershy? Cool name!" She smiled.

Wow. That was a first. Every time Fluttershy would try to introduce herself to someone they would ask her over and over to repeat what she said.

"Heh, thanks. Um but why did you d-defend me?"

Rainbow Dash scratched the back of her neck. "Oh um I just hate guys like that. Plus... I know how it feels."

Oh wow! This girl seemed so cool and collected. How could anyone ever bully her?

"Well thanks again..." Fluttershy smiled at the ground.

"Hey, anytime, Flutters. I should head to that race I got some business I gotta take care of defending your honor! We should hangout though sometime." With that she sped away with her short hair flying behind her.

Flutters...she gave me a nickname! No ones ever given ME a nickname before!

From that moment she couldn't stop smiling all day. Fluttershy had possibly made her first friend.
