We made it to the last step. To the side of us there is some kind of room or prison-cell. They threw me in the cell and locked the door.
G1: James will come down in a little bit to see how your doing. G2: if I were you I wouldn't get any ideas on how your going to escape. Soon they left and I was by myself in the cell. I got up from the ground and dusted myself off. I looked around the cell and it was pretty big. There was a bed and on the outside of it there was candles lit up. I wonder if anybody else had came in here or if there are anymore cells. I looked around to see if there was a clock or anything. There wasn't really anything in there so I kind of gave up. I went and sat on the bed when all of a sudden I felt something in my pocket. I took it out and it was my phone. I forgot that I have my phone with me this whole time. I looked at the time and it read 5:45 am. The purge is almost over and I still need to look for my friends. If I don't get out of here soon then I'm leaving New Jersey and I have to go with James. I really don't want to, but I have to because he isn't going to leave me alone. I should have never even left in the first place. I miss my friends so much. Even if they are mad at me I still miss them. I want to see them so bad. I put my phone down on the bed and I was just sitting there. What can I do? How can I get out of here without the others catching me? I looked at my phone then I got a idea. I looked around to see if there was cameras or anything. Once I made sure there wasn't I got my phone and went to my messages. I clicked on Atzi's name and was about to type when I thought about something. What if they got captured? What if they are outside and if her phone goes off purgers will hear it. I could get them killed just by one message. I decided not to text her and just think of something else. I put my phone back in my pocket and tried thinking of a new plan. All this thinking and these thoughts going through my head is making me feel so tired. I want to go to sleep, but I can't and I will not. I smacked myself in the face so I wouldn't feel tired. I felt my eyes getting heavy so I smacked myself again. I kept smacking myself again and again and again until I didn't feel tired anymore. My cheeks hurt and they burned. I looked at my hands and they were red. I stopped slapping myself and sighed in frustration. How am I ever going to get out of here?
Mattia's POV: It was silent in the car. No one was talking or anything. My vision was good now and I can move. I looked at all of them to see if they were going to say something. I guess nobody had anything to say after that whole thing at the warehouse. I was in the back with the others while Alejandro was driving and Atzi was in the passenger side. I kept looking at Alejandro because he didn't really look okay. He had his hands really tight around the wheel and his eyes were really red. He looked really tired, but at the same time he was wide awake.
M: ale are you okay? Ale: hmm? Oh yeah I'm fine. M: are you sure? Because you don't look fine. Ale: I am. I promise I really am. I didn't believe it. He looked like he was going to break any minute. I was kind of getting scared because I have never seen Alejandro like this. He has never acted like this before. Maybe it was because of Nadia? I don't know, but I'm getting worried. M: if you want I can drive and you could come back here and rest.
Ale: no...seriously I'm fine. M: I really don't mi- Ale: I said I'm fine!! M: I was only asking if you wanted me to drive. I'm only trying to be nice. Ale: well maybe...you know what never mind. K: dude are you okay? Ale: yes I'm fine. M: dude...just tell us the truth.
Ale: I've just been so stressed and I'm worried. R: about what? A: about Nadia? Ale: not just her, it's about this whole day. S: yeah I know how you feel. Alv: what made you stressed? Ale: everything. First when we went to the store. Then when we lost our only place to survive and when we went to the bank. Also when mattia and Nadia got into that fight. Let's not forget Taylor of course and when Nadia left. Also her side and those guys looking for her. And then when mattia got taken away from us. Literally this day has been hell for me.
A: your not the one that has been through hell because of this day. Your forgetting that all of us are going through the same thing. We are even going through it together. S: don't think that we aren't with you ale. Because we are and we will get through this together. We'll find Nadia and bring her back home. Trust me we are going to be okay. Ale: thanks guys. It really means a lot to me that you guys are here.
Alv: your welcome. Just remember that your not alone. M: alright park somewhere so me and you can switch seats. Ale: alright.
Alejandro kept driving until he could find somewhere to park. Once he did we got off the car and switched seats. I got in the driver's seato while Alejandro went in the back with the others. I turned on the car and started driving off. There was only one thing that I was confused on. Where am I even going?
M: umm guys...where am I going? R: yeah where were we even going? S: to be honest I don't even know. Alv: do you guys have any clue to where she could be? A: no. For all I know she literally could be anywhere in New Jersey!! S: she's right. Nadia could be anywhere and we don't even know where.
I kept on driving and had my eyes on the road. While the others were talking and thinking about where Nadia could be, I saw something up ahead. I looked closer to see what it was and it looked like a person. I couldn't see his front side since his back was facing us, but I could tell what he was wearing. He was wearing nice black shoes and black pants with a dark blue shirt with I think a white undershirt. It looked like he was wearing a mask as well. He looked like one of the guys that came with Nadia's 'brother' when they came and looked for her. It was!! It was one of the guys!! M: guys hold up. R: what? M: do you guys see that?
A: see what? M: look what is up ahead.
They all looked and had shocked faces on. Why was one of them out here? Also why is he alone? K: it's them. Well it's one of them.
S: what is he doing out here by himself? Ale: I don't know. Maybe to purge or something.
Alv: what should we do? A: I don't know.
M: I have an idea. I was kind of far away from him so he couldn't see the lights of the car. Once I got a little bit closer I turned off the lights from the car and started to speed a little bit. M: Atzi open your car door. A: why?
M: just do it. Atzi opens her door. I started to speed up a little more so I can reach him quicker. Ale: mattia what are you doing?
M: you'll see. K: mattia slow down a little bit.
M: no I can't. S: why can't you? M: because if I do then I'm going to miss. Alv: miss what? M: you'll see. Now I was speeding up and the more I speed the more I can get to him quicker. By now I was past the speed limit so I was going really fast. I got closer to him and was ready for impact. M: hold on to something!! Everyone gave me a scared look and held on to something. Now I was finally close to him. I swerved the car and made Atzi's door hit the guy. He went flying and he hit the street really hard. Some of his blood got on the car and got in our faces. I turned the whole car around while everyone screamed in fear. I did a full turn and stopped and faced the other side of the street. In the middle of the street was the guy. He was just laying there not even moving or anything. Alv: what the hell mattia!!!
M: what? Alv: why did you do that?!?!
M: how else were we supposed to catch him?!?
Alv: oh I don't know uh maybe we could have stopped and put him in the car!!! M: where is the fun in that? Alv: how is it fun to kill someone?!?! M: you know what-R: both of you stop fighting!!! S: seriously guys this is no time to fight. Right now we have bigger problems. R: she's right. Right now we have to figure out if we killed that guy or not.
K: guys...I don't think he is dead. A: why do you say that? K: look!!! I looked in front of me. Kairi was right, the guy wasn't dead he was still moving. How the hell did he survive that?
It would have killed you instantly. This guy must be immortal or something because he would have been dead by now. Ale: how is he still alive? He should have been dead. M: he's going to die right now. A: no mattia don't.
M: why not? S: because we are going to need him. If he is with that guy that came to look for Nadia then he could tell us where she is!!
Alv: yes, but we don't know if he has her.
K: it's worth giving it a shot. R: he's right. It doesn't hurt giving it a shot. I mean this is kind of our last option at the moment. Alv: so what should we do? Ale: we should bring him with us and see if he knows anything about Nadia.
M: ugh!! Fine I won't kill him. Unless if he tests me then I will. K: fine by me. I started the car and drove to where the guy was. Once I got to him I didn't turn the car off. I opened my door and got off the car. I went to the guy and he was wide awake and still alive. He had a couple of cuts and bruises and blood coming out of his stomach. I bent down and lifted up his shirt. He had a big cut in his stomach, but it was nothing really saver. I got up and he reached his hand out to me. Guy: help me...please. M: sure I'll help you. Help you put you out out of you misery!!! Guy: NO!!!
I was about to bash the guys head in when I got pushed out of the way. It was Alejandro, he was the one that pushed me. M: what the heck?
Ale: I told you we aren't killing him. We need him alive so he can tell us where Nadia is.
M: fine, but can you help me get him into the car? Ale: sure. I went to the guy and got him from one arm. Alejandro got him from the other arm and we both picked him up at the same time. Sandra opened the back door and we put the guy in the back with the others. Alejandro got in the back and closed the door. I went to the driver's side and turned on the car, but didn't start driving. I turned around and faced the others. The guy was now sitting up and he looked scared. It's good that he is scared of us so that way we can get the truth out of him faster. Guy: who are you people?
M: we are old friends of James.
Alv: remember that old building that you and your friends broke into? Guy: yes? R: that was ours. You guys broke into it because of your friend James. M: remember now?!?! Guy: yes...yes I do and I am very sorry for it.
K: don't give us that crap!!! You know you aren't sorry. Guy: no seriously I am!!!
A: then why did you brake into the building??
Guy: because our boss was looking for someone. S: who was he looking for?!?!
Guy: I...I don't know. M: bullshit!!! You know who he was looking for!! Guy: no I don't I'm being serious!! M: stop lying!!! Guy: I'm not lying I swear!!! M: okay...well if he isn't lying then we should just kill him. I got my gun out and pointed it at the guys head. I saw the fear in his eyes as his face turned pale. I had my finger on the trigger and was about to shoot. Until roshaun got my gun from my hand and put it in his back pocket. M: what the fuck dude!! R: we aren't killing him just yet. If we kill him we are never going to get anything out of him. We need him alive and if he still isn't going to tell us then you can kill him. M: fine, but he better hurry up because I'm starting to lose patience. R: okay. As we were saying what was your boss looking for? Guy: I don't know man!! Please just let me go!!! R: sorry dude it's not that easy. Look we can either do this the hard way or the easy way. It's your pick. K: just a little heads up, but my friend over here he isn't afraid to shoot you. He'll shoot you on the spot, just one bullet and your dead. So if I were you I would start talking. Guy: fine I'll tell you!!! Alv: finally!!
S: who was your boss looking for? Guy: he was looking for someone: he told us that we needed to go out here and find someone he was looking for. He told us that he has been looking for this person for years and he wasn't going to stop looking. We had to come out here and look everywhere. We knocked on people's doors to see if they seen the person, but they didn't so we would have to kill them. He said the person he was looking for was a girl. Her name was...ugh what was her name?!?!
S: was her name Nadia? Guy: yes!!! That was her name. How did you know? A: because she is our friend. Ale: and she is my girlfriend. Guy: oh...I am so sorry. I didn't mean- Ale: just keep going with the story.
Guy: oh...well he told us that he was looking for her. The reason why he was looking for her was because she is his little sister. He has been looking for her for years. Once we knocked on everyone's door and they didn't know or who she was he was losing hope. That was until we met you guys. K: what do you mean?
Guy: that girl you guys know. Your friend and his girlfriend, that is Jame's sister. A: omg!!
Alv: this whole time she didn't tell us that she had a brother. S: she didn't know. If she did she would have told us by now. R: what do we do now? M: I don't know. Ale: did he ever catch her? After Alejandro said that sentence the guy went quiet. He knows something he just doesn't want to tell us. M: hey idiot my friend asked you a question!! Guy: no...he never caught her. S: your lying. Guy: no I'm not. S: yes you are!! Ale: tell me where she is!!! Guy: I really don't know man. Please just don't hurt me!!! Ale: mattia get your gun.
M: you got it!!! Roshaun handed me my gun back. I pointed it at the guy and I was ready to shoot him in the head. He started to scream and cry. He was squirming around so Alvaro had to hold him down. He was begging me not to shoot him.
Guy: please don't do this!!! Alv: sorry dude you lost your chance. Guy: please I'll do anything!!! K: then tell us where our friend is!! Guy: I don't know where she is!!!
Ale: mattia get ready. I reloaded my gun and had my finger on the trigger. Now he was having a full on panic attack. He started sweating and yelling his lungs off. I was going to shoot him when he decided to give in. Danm it and I really wanted to kill him. Guy: fine I'll tell you where she is!!! M: you have to be fucking kidding me!!! K: mattia calm down. Put the gun down and relax. R: I know you wanted to kill him, but now we really need him alive. He can tell us where Nadia is. M: fine. He better be telling the truth!!! Guy: okay so he did catch her. She is with him right now at the mansion. The reason why I came out here was because he told me to look for somethings for her. S: is this true? Guy: yes, yes this is all true. Ale: I believe you. Guy: oh thank god!! Now can I go-Ale: you are coming with us to look for her. Guy: but I told you guys everything!!! Ale: you really think we were going to let you go? You might tell your boss about us. Guy: please just let me go!!! I won't say anything I promise!! Ale: and look at all the times that you lied to us. Guy: this isn't fair!!! Ale: life isn't fair man. So if I were you I would get to talking. The guy looked so pissed, but who cares. That's his fault for lying to us. I got in the driver's side and started to drive. The guy told me to keep going straight and turn right on emerald street. The car ride was pretty awkward, but I didn't mind. What I really cared about right now was getting Nadia back and surviving this day. Hopefully she is okay and isn't hurt.
