y/n's pov

I was lying on my bed, thinking about Shuichi in the last two months. I honestly haven't seen Shuichi this happy in a very long time. It makes me happy he's starting to warm up to Kaede and Kokichi. I've been debating if I should tell him about Kaede since she didn't act like this in camp, but she hasn't acted out or anything. She's being really nice to Shuichi and Kokichi and sure, there are the times she would tease them a bit, but nothing too serious. I even asked Rantaro about it. "I don't think you should. Why ruin a perfectly good friendship?" He asked me. "You make a good point." "Don't I always?" I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Oh hush." I still think about what happened with Shuichi while we were watching Danganronpa. I never told Rantaro that, because he doesn't need to know about that, but it's been on my mind ever since it happened. I sighed as I rolled to my side. I grabbed my phone and looked at it, seeing that Shuichi sent me a message.

'Wanna come to my house?' The message reads.

I smiled and replied with an 'Of course'

I got up and went to the front door. "Bye mom and dad, I'm going to Shuichi's house." I yelled and opened and closed the door. I sighed as I walked over to this house. Once I got there I knocked on the door. Shuichi's mom answered the door a few moments later. "Oh my goodness y/n I haven't seen you in forever!" she exclaimed as she hugged me and I hugged her back. "it has been too long." I say as we pulled away. "Come in, come in." she said she moved to the side. I walked in. "How are your parents?" She asked. "They're good." I responded. "That's good. That's good. Shuichi is in his room." she said. "Ok, thank you." I said as I started walking to his room. I knocked on his door. "Come in!" He said. I opened the door and closed it. "What's up? do you need to talk about something?" I asked him. "oh no, nothing's wrong, I just wanted to talk to my best friend." He said with a big, pure smile. How is he this adorable?! "alright, how's Kaede and Kokichi?" I asked. "they're really fun!" he responded exciting. I smiled. "I'm glad you're enjoying them." "did you make any new friends?" Shuichi asked me. I looked at him confused. "If I have to make new friends so do you." He said.

Huh, I didn't think he'll see it like that.

"I mean yeah, but-" "No buts! Besides, I believe in you." He said with another pure smile.

Gosh dang, this kid is too adorable.

"Alright, alright fine, I'll make a new friend just for you." I say with a smile. "Yes!" He said excitedly. "I thought you hated whenever I would make a new friend?" I asked, remembering the times he would get extremely jealous. "But, if they make you happy, then why would I complain?" he asked. "You're too pure for this world." I say. "It took me a while to realize that." He said with a sheepish smile. I rubbed his head, being careful not to touch his ahoge. I looked to see his closet door is cracked open. It was enough for me to see...Kirigiri's cosplay? "Shuichi, why do you have Kirigiri's cosplay? I'm not judging or anything i'm just curious."

"O-oh, I'm just ho-holding that for a friend!" He said nervously. "Shuichi, you're lying. You stutter when you lie." I said. He sighed. "She's a really cool character and I just wanted her cosplay." He mumbled. "As I said, I'm not judging." I said. "Maybe I'll buy Naegi's cosplay." "Really?" His eyes sparkled. I smiled. "Who knows, maybe I will." I stand up. "I hate to cut our time short, but I have to go back home. We're having (favorite food) for dinner!" I say with excitement. He smiled. "It's fine, I know how much you like (favorite food), now let's hurry before it gets cold." He stood up. Shuichi told his mom he's walking me home as he opened the door and closed it as we got outside. Our walk was quiet, just enjoying each other's company. I felt his hand entwine in hand. I looked at him to see him looking away blushing heavily. I smiled as I held his hand back, blushing slightly.

We made it to my house. Our hands fell on our sides as I got my key out and unlocked the door. "Thanks again, Shuichi." "It's nothing." He says with a smile. I smiled back as I walk inside. "Make sure to hurry home." "Ok, mom I will." He jokingly says as he chuckled. My smile never leaves as close the door and locking it back.

Shuichi's pov

I would love for her to step on me...
