After getting help from Sheila with a locator spell Stefan had left to get Bonnie and Elena back as Godrick talked to the Bennet witch.

"So, will you help me?"

The old Bennet fixed the teen sitting in front of her with a shrewd look.

"And what do you need my help for exactly. You could very well do this all by yourself."

The young man greeted his teeth. He didn't have a problem admitting to his own short comings, but Sheila had a way of making him feel small that made his skin crawl.

"I'm not strong enough to handle this much power yet. And I don't have the level of mastery required to siphon magic and transfer it to a recipient simultaneously. Give me six month and sure I could do it, but we don't have that kind of time. It needs to be done by tonight."

The Bennet witch still looked skeptical, so he pushed a little further.

"He won't leave her alone. He won't leave either of them alone and they will be in danger for as longue as he is free. Help me protect them Sheila, I beg you."

---------------------------------------------------------

Bonnie was sitting in front of her grandmother after Stefan rescued her and Elena.

"How did you know where we were?"

The older Bennet patted her granddaughter's hand in sympathy. Bonnie was so new to magic; she still had a lot to learn.

"Many things can fuel a witch's power. Worry. Anger. After Stefan told me they had taken you, I had a lot of both. Simple locater spell was easy after that."

The Gilbert boy sitting beside her cleared his throat.

"And Godrick helped."

Bonnie's bottom lips wobbled as tears burned her eyes.

"I'm sorry. About all of this."

The two experienced magic users only smirked in reply as Sheila spoke.

"Not as sorry as they're gonna be."

Witches were a tightly knitted community, related by blood or not they looked after each other. You could not hurt one of their own and get away with it. And vampires are known to be witches' favorite targets.

Bonnie looked at her grams with frowned brows, a question forming on her lips, just as Stefan and Elena entered the room. The Gilbert girl put her hands on the back of her brother's chair as she faced the other occupants of the room.

"So, what do we do now?"

Stefan looked at Sheila.

"Well, for now, you need to stay here."

The old witch did not like the sound of that. She was old but she was far from helpless.

"A prisoner, in my own home? I don't think so."

The vampire insisted, he didn't want anything to happen to any of them.

"I can't protect you if you leave the house."

Godrick was the one to protest.

"We can protect ourselves. Damon doesn't stand a chance against three people with magic."

His sister, ever the pacifist, had a different idea.

"We need to let him have Katherine back. He's not going to stop until he gets her. If we help him, maybe that ends it."

That was not the solution the others were hopping for and Bonnie let her know that.

"No! He doesn't deserve to get what he wants."
