"Do you not care?" He whispers. He doesn't want the whole troupe to hear. He doesn't even know why he asked the question. If she says yes, he will shatter.
"Of course I care, Finn! That's the problem!" She claps her hands over her mouth. The whole team turns to look at her. Her mouth falls open, and with it, a waterfall of sobs. Piper rushes out the Studio as fast as she can.
"Finn." Amy gives him a bold look.
"Amy," His voice is soft, "I," He looks around him. All eyes stare intently. "I do." He hopes she understands.
"I know." Amy 's face appears more gentle now. Kindness radiates from her.
"She knows."
"Really?"
"She does too." They lock eyes.
"Time. Just give her-" Amy is suddenly very aware of the rest of the team. "I have to see-"
"Go. " He says. He wants someone to be there for her. She hurries after her best friend.
"I'm fine." He addresses the team. " It's fine." But from the water collected in his eyes, the team could tell quite the opposite.
