"Okay," Leah has said as she put Renesmee's wash bag on my couch. I grumbled as I put her big duffel bag on the couch as well, then sprawled out next to it with a lazy yawn.
"Lazy ass," I heard Leah mutter as I just looked up and grinned at her.
"You're just jealous."
"Of what? A lazy Alpha?" She scoffed and walked off, probably to grab her stuff, since she was also spending the night, along with Quil and Embry. Seth was off at Collin's house.
Dad was spending the night at Sue's, Nessie often made him uncomfortable. He still was in shock that I had imprinted on a half vampire and tended to avoid her as much as possible.
"I'll be back," Leah said. "I have to grab my stuff from home."
"You don't need to. You can sleep on the couch and borrow one of Embry's shirts," I smirked. "You know how much he'll like that."
She rolled her eyes and threw a pillow at me, but I caught it with ease. "Too slow," I taunted a she huffed and sat down on the other side of the couch.
"No way am I sleeping on the couch. I'm taking your room," she snickered, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Sorry, I promised Quil my room."
"Yeah, well too bad. He can survive on the couch. Nessie's in the guest room."
"What about me? It's my room, you know," I snapped at her.
"The couch is bigger. I'm taking your room, Jacob," she snapped back. "Plus, you can sleep in Billy's room."
"Fine. Whatever."
Renesmee crawled over and made herself comfortable on my lap, cuddling into me as she glanced at the tv.
"You know I don't like him," Leah muttered. "I feel bad about it, cause it's been going on since like, forever. But he'll imprint one day. And I can't do that to myself again." Leah sighed.
I just took her hand, not saying anything, and rubbing her knuckles with my hand affectionately. "You'll find someone, Lee. Someone who matches your fiery personality. And bitchy one." I grinned at her and she smacked my arm.
"You don't get to call me that," she snapped.
"You love it, don't deny it."
She just rolled her eyes and smiled at Renesmee who was just watching the tv, not paying any attention to us.
Renesmee was really small and most times still acted like four year old. Which she was. It made sense. We all knew she could understand things way more complex, and way smarter than I was, but she also enjoyed the human side to things.
She loved doing the things that little kids would do, but she also enjoyed talking about physics and quantum physics with Edward and who knows what else they talked about.
My head snapped over when I watched the door open, grinning at Quil and Embry as they walked through the door. "Hey, guys."
"Hey, Jake!" Quil exclaimed.
I nodded towards him. "You can put your stuff over there," I said motioning to the corner of the living room. I ran my hand through Renesmee's bronze curls. They were so soft from all of the expensive products Alice put in her hair.
I sighed a bit and just held her, kissing the top of her head softly.
"Jake, you okay?" Leah's voice snapped me from my trance and I looked up at her.
"Yeah."
She just nodded and got up, making her way over to the kitchen. "Quil, call Pizza Hut and order some food. I want a medium pepperoni with mushrooms. You guys order whatever you want."
