No, this is no good. Believe it or not, I meant to end this peacefully. He charges me, go figures. I have to stop him. I aim and blast the ground with my sludge. He trips and fails, giving me a minute of breathing time. I have more than one trick up my sleeve, my sludge can also be made to be slippery. The peaceful option has failed, it only makes sense to go on the attack. I step towards him and stomp on him so that he lies flat on the ground.
"Welcome to the Outer Rim, I hope you're enjoying your stay.", I say to him.
"How dare you attack Monsieur Katz, you scum.", a voice shouts at me.
His lackey starts to charge me too. Two against one is hardly fair, but these kinds of bully tactics are not unfamiliar to me. Before I could deliver a witty remark, like I usually do, he tackles me. As I lay on the floor, he assaults me with blows.
His punches seem very weak. Weaker than anything I've felt before, so this one isn't gifted, we're usually much stronger than this. I wrestled him off me shockingly easily, then deliver a swift kick to the stomach. Before I could appreciate defeating him, I was punched in the back of the head. I was dizzied by this, the first real punch I'd felt during this fight. I didn't have to look to know who it was. It was clearly him, their leader Katz.
Yes, it makes sense now. The rest of them are unremarkable, but not him. He's one of us, I'm sure of it now. His goons surrounded me while I was stunned, they were weak but quick on their feet. Just as I was going to give up hope, Jubilee tackles one to the ground and drags him away. He kicks and screams. The other one runs to rescue him living just me and Katz.
"Newt you handle Katz. I'll deal with these worthless nobodies."
His lackeys struggle against Jubilee. They can't even land a hit on her, it's more of a flogging than a fight. While I question what I should do next Katz Sneaks up behind me and kicks me to the ground.
"What are you looking at peasant, your opponent is me."
I quickly stand to my feet. I run backwards to put some distance between me and my foe. I need to stall until I find an opening. Katz becomes impatient and breaks out into a sprint towards me. I spray his eyes again, he crosses his arms in front of his eyes and continues to charge me.
"That won't work twice idiot." Katz yells.
"That won't work twice idiot." Jubilee also yells from a distance, while violently driving her fist into the young boy's face.
"Hey, you're supposed to be on my side."
The truth is, I knew that trick wouldn't work twice, so I didn't pull the same trick. Katz finds that his arms are now glued together, he's helpless. I punch Katz through his crossed arms, forcing his own arms to slam into his chest, he falls back. After stomping him into the ground for a few seconds he manages to break his arms free. I kick him but he grabs my leg and twists it. Now we're both on the ground, fine by me. We trade blows while grappling each other on the ground. His blows are less powerful than mine but he's somehow getting hits to land.
I hate to admit it, but he's definitely winning this exchange. As we continue to struggle my vision fades and I begin to lose more and more of my strength. The crowd falls silent. This may seem cowardly but it's time for old-reliable. I punch him in the nose, his face erupts with blood. Now that my opponent is disoriented, I push myself away from him, I stand to my feet slowly. My body is at its limit. I begin to step away.
"Don't run away from me you swine."
He chases me, desperately. He seethes in anger as he struggles to keep up with me. I climb up the fence. He stops, nice. Looks like he can't climb.
