Ja'NariI'm so exited for my date with Kahlil. I hope he's going to be in good mood since it's the anniversary of his parents death.
His parents were cremated and the ashes had already been dumped at the beach so we were gonna go there and release lanterns.
I FaceTimed Kacey and Amia so they could see my outfit. "Hey babe," Amia said answering. "Hey."
Kacey wasn't answering; she's probably busy with her little brother.
"So you liked the fit?" I asked her. "You look good as hell! I always shipped you and Kahlil, y'all are so cute together."
"Thank you, I still don't know where we're going though."
"Aww he made a surprise date. So cute!" she squealed. I chuckled a little, I love that she's really excited for me. My phone dinged and I got a text.
Kahlil🤭
i'm outside
okay, i'm coming
Delivered"He's outside, I'll see you later on," I told Amia."Okay. Have fun, bye."
I waved and hung up. I looked around for my stuff, grabbed my bag and left the house.
"Hey," I said as I got in the car. He kissed me on the cheek, "Hey beautiful." I blushed a little. "So can you tell me where we're going."
"No, like I keep telling you, it's a surprise," he said sounding annoyed. I sat back in my seat crossing my arms. This better be a good surprise.
6:40 p.m.
After many long red lights, we finally pulled up to the beach with people blasting music.
"Who are these people," I asked looking through the window. "You don't see Tae and them?" he pointed towards them.
"I see them. So you brought me to a beach party?" He looked at me confused, "Is there something wrong with that?"
I just wanted to be alone with him. I'm just wondering what made him think that our usual shit was gonna be a date. I opened my door, "No, come on."
I didn't want to start nothing so I just kept my real feelings to myself. I saw Amia running to me, "Heyy girl," she hugged me. "Hey babe, who all here?"
"The group as usual, and a few people from school." "But I wanna take you somewhere," Kahlil said pulling my hand.
We walked down the sand for a good two minutes until I saw a blanket with pillows and a picnic basket. My eyes lit up.
"Awww, you really did this." I said tearing up.
"You like it?" I hugged him, "I love it! Nobody has ever done anything like this before."
He had my favorite water, fruit, chips, and my sandwich from Wawa. We sat down on the pillows and I grabbed a bag of chips.
"So what do you plan on doing in the future?" he asked. "Well you know I do nails right now. I plan to open up a beauty bar type spot. People can get they nails and hair done."
