After a night out with a few of my girls and the boys, from Stereo Kicks, Charlie and I were the only sober(ish) people there, because we were the youngest. We had to get the taxi back to Toms apartment where we had all planned to have stayed that night. Me and Charlie managed to get them all up the stairs and inside after about 10 minutes of them not being able to walk straight to the house from the taxi. I went to close the front door when I heard a beep from the taxi. Nobody had paid him, so I ran outside and rummaged around my bag for my purse and managed to scrap 16 pounds from the heaps of coinage I had in there. He drove off and I turned around to head back to the apartment with a sigh. I ran back and slowed down the closer I got and lifted my head to see Charlie waiting at the door holding it open for me with a smile as I came in, I said "thank you." He nods, "it's okay."

I'd always thought Charlie was such a lovely boy. I mean we had been quite close, even before the xFactor. I'd always get a little belly of butterflies when he smiled at me or gave me a hug, but I thought, he'd never go for a girl like me. He has tones of beautiful girls swooning for him, so why'd he choose me?

I sighed. He never made it obvious that he could have liked me, even the slightest.. but I always hoped.

Still, I carried on walking to be with the others and sat down in the lounge, where Reece had already put on the football. Casey kept asking, his speech a little muffled, "does anyone else want a kebab? I do.. Or a McDonald's, can we order a pizza?" - I replied, "you paying then?" Charlie added, "yeah Case" with a laugh. The others were too engrossed in the football or each other to notice me asking, "does anyone else want some food?" I knew it was a bad idea to see if any of the partially drunk people wanted to eat, because soon after them gobbing down their food, they'll most likely throw it back up. Nobody replied anyway so I just made Casey some food. Charlie followed and said he'd help, but as a matter a fact he just sat and watched me. I asked, "are you bored?" Because he often seemed to follow me. I don't know whether this was because he hated pissed people or he wanted food too. I thought maybe it could have been because he just wanted it to be me and him alone but then I thought again... no, it can't be that, he just wants food.. He then replies "no, I'm not bored, I just wanted to make sure you're alright.." - I answer, "yeah! I'm fine, don't worry about me." He nods, then laughs, and looks away through the door way to see the piss heads. I look at him for a moment and think to myself.. does he really care? I mean it's nice of him, but is he just being friendly because everyone else is too drunk to function so he wouldn't be able to get a decent conversation from any of them anyway. 'Ahh SHUTUP mind', I told myself.

I put Casey's food on a plate and took in to him, but Charlie was stood in the doorway and I couldn't get past, "excuse me Charlie.." I said shyly with a laugh. "Oh sorry." he jumped out the way. I rushed on past and handed Casey the plate. He looked a little confused but ate it anyway. I turned and leant against the wall and took a deep breath, and sighed.

Jake, Tom, Chris, James, Barclay, Casey and Reece, were all very drunk, but I had to admit Casey seemed the most out of all of them. I knew giving him food was a bad idea, even though it kept him quiet for a little bit and happy for a little longer, but when he jolted upright all of sudden, I knew that he was going to throw up. I think his instincts made him attempt to run to the kitchen to vomit in the sink but as he did, he fell face first, and as this happened projectile sick came from his mouth and he lay in a puddle of his sick. Everyone turned their attention to Casey, and they all laughed Charlie came rushing over and we both stood looking over him, "oh boy.." I hesitate. Charlie looked at me for a long time and I feel a slow smile creep over my face.

{CHARLIE'S POINT OF VIEW}

Wow she's beautiful I think to myself, her whole face changes when she smiles - this eyebrow-lifting, perfect-teeth-showing, eye-crinkling smile I've either never seen before or never noticed. She becomes pretty, so suddenly, that it's like a magic trick. - not that she wasn't pretty before, it's just suddenly more noticeable now.
