Elaina Hartwick was looking out of the window of the small but quite ancient bookstore of her aunt Madeline. She worked there because of her love for reading. She sighs as she watches Mrs Potts ushering her twins over the street on their way to school. Mr Bently with his nose stuck in a newspaper gave a unpleasant glance at them as Mrs Potts tried to fix their coats. While Peter steered his way over the streets hastily to deliver the morning paper. This is Ron, a little town cut off from the world, people venture in and quickly ventures out. The population was just over 200 people and well nothing much happened as it remained winter all year long.
Elaina was a free spirit like her parents who left her with her Aunt when she was but six years old to venture out to explore the world beyond Ron, and 22 years later they have never returned, written a letter or made any contact with her or her Aunt. She misses them dearly and have excepted that they must have passed on because no one ventured out and came back.
The doorbell made its familiar sound signaling that someone entered the shop. She reluctantly moved from the window to assist the new customer. "Good morning Sal, already done reading those books you picked up yesterday?" She ask without looking up. The person cleared his throat and Elaine looked up staring into the most electrifying blue eyes she has ever seen in her life. She was taller then the average lady of her age but this man was atleast a head taller then her. He looked straight into her eyes, his hair was long pass his shoulders, athletically built but not buff, rather lean and extremely handsome, broad shoulders and strong steady legs, he has a long black expensive coat on over what she could only think was a very expensive suit. Leather gloves were covering his big hands. "Good day" he says looking her straight in the eyes. " I'm looking for Madeline Hartwick." His voice rolled over her like her like warm honey and his accent is English. " uhm Aunt Maddy is out on her morning rounds, she will be back just after ten." She says blushing.
Two things about the stranger intrigued her, One he was a stranger and two he made her heart beat at a rapid pace...
