The sound of things clattering and glass breaking echoed throughout the halls. Someone was having a really bad day.
Inside the first room to the left, there stood Jirou in the middle, panting heavily as she stared at the massive clutter she had just made.
Balling her fist and clenching her jaw, she wiped the tears that had fallen from her eyes with her sleeves.
Another bad month in this bad week, and bad day.
Add this day to the other piles of bad days in her mental drawer. She didn't even bother to count them anymore, there were just too much. Too much bad days. Too much bad weeks.
On her left hand was her now crumpled pay check that she had just received.
Her pay check had arrived to find that it was missing at least half of what was supposed to be her payment, the reason behind was because she 'didn't work hard enough' for it. The words she wanted to tell them is something that can be easily ignored and brushed off as complaining.
That wasn't the only thing that made her day bad. Earlier, she was attacked by another one of a homophobic person. A bible thrown at her hitting her directly on the eye, now she has a black eye. Her boss will probably lessen her next pay assuming she got into a fight.
Her best friend left her to go on a vacation in Hawaii, without saying anything, didn't even utter a goodbye.
With them gone, her co-workers were teasing her all day for being a lesbian keeping her from doing her job correctly only to be given another scolding from her boss.
Her landlord was the only person good this day, giving her another week to pay her rent in a soothing tone that she really appreciates.
Now, she was in the middle of her room. If you could still even call it that considering everything was out of place and some furniture were destroyed.
She snapped. She finally snapped. And she did so at the worst possible time.
Her attention went back to her door when she heard knocking. Cursing under her breath when she walked over to the door.
Taking a deep breath, she slowly opened the door.
"E-excuse me, Miss Jirou?" A little girl said. She smiled and kneeled down to her level.
"Good afternoon, Lapiz. Something you need?"
The girl nodded her head, "My mom wanted to know if you were okay. We heard the ruckus and we were worried."
She gaped a little, surprised that another person was worried about her. She gave Lapiz another warm smile, "I'm alright, Lapiz." She patted the girl's head playfully, "What about you, how's school?"
Lapiz giggled, "School was great! I made tons of friends!"
"That's great to hear."
"Oh! And the guys that was making fun of me stopped. Thank you for the advice, Miss Jirou!"
"Happy to help, Laz!" She leaned closer to the child and whispered with one hand covering one side, "The offer about beating those kids up still stands."
Lapiz giggled again, "No thank you, Miss."
"You sure?" She whispered still keeping her act.
"Yes."
"Alright." She shrugged, "You go run along now. You mother might worry your out this long. She might think I kidnapped you or somethin'."
She giggled again before walking away with a small and timid wave.
