Chapter 15

I woke up at ten. I made breakfast and took it to Lizzie. I took her home around noon. I have alot of Christmas shopping to do so I went to the mall. Christmas is in two days. I spent five hours shopping then went to the food court and got something to eat.

I got up and was about to go to the jewelry store, and I felt someone jumping on my back. I turned around and saw Tina.

"Last minute Christmas shopping?" stating the obvious much?

"Yeah genius. How'd you know"

"Very funny Sam. So where have you disappeared to?"

"Nowhere."

"You owe me. The day after Christmas we're going to hang out."

"Ok."

"So where are you going?"

"The jewelers."

"Cool. I'm coming."

We went to the jewelry store and I got the things I wanted. We just hung out for a while after that because we had both finished our Christmas shopping.

"So we're still on for Christmas right? You're all coming over after dinner?"

"Yea, totally."

We left after the sun had set. We said goodbye and I went home to get everything ready. I figured since my parents were out of town for the week they wouldn't want any gifts, but I got them each something anyway. I'll just give them the gifts when they come back.

"Mom and dad called. They said they'd be gone till the 5th of January. Something about something but they needed to extend the trip." Cecilia came in and said.

"Ok. Thanks Cece."

I went to Lizzie's house and asked her mom if she could stay at my house tonight. We packed her bag and went to my house. We went into my room and snuggled on the bed. I ordered pizza and we talked until it came.

I took one pizza to my room and the other to the kitchen.

"I ordered some pizza. It's on the kitchen counter if you want." I told Cece then went to Lily's room and told her.

We ate and I told Lizzie to put her coat on. We went to my car and I drove to the cinema. I was in the mood for a horror movie but Lizzie doesn't like them. The cinema is showing The Nightmare Before Christmas at midnight as a special. We got popcorn and drinks.

After the movie we decided to go home.

"Hey, Sam. What are you doing here?" Ana.

"What's up freshman. Watching a movie. Why else would I come to the cinema." Ana is one of the two freshmen I consider friends. We talked for a bit then went home and went to sleep.

It's Christmas morning. Lizzie went home yesterday afternoon and a bunch of my friends are coming over today.

Last summer when my family thought I was with my friends, I was actually working. I had 4 jobs at one time. I worked most of my summer. I have over $5,000 saved up from then, plus the money I used for the gifts. I want to get a job now, but I don't know if I have the time.

My friends came around 7. We gave each other gifts and talked and laughed. We watched Frosty the Snowman and Disney's A Christmas Carol. There's about 20 people in my living room, most juniors, some seniors, and 3 freshmen. I think all my friends are here. At least the ones from my school. The doorbell rang.

"Hey!! Happy Holidays! You didn't think I'd forget my favorite niece did you?"

"Hey aunt Beck. Merry Christmas." We hugged and she came in.
