"Chastity!"
Before the two could take another step down the hall, an excitable yell sounded from somewhere behind them, and they whipped around to confront the noise simultaneously. Suddenly, there was a small child like figure practically bounding toward them, and while Vanity reeled back, Chastity opened out her arms, grinning from ear to ear. She caught the tiny form in a tight bear hug, before proceeding to swing them around in her arms as if they were merely weightless. A chorus of joyous laughter erupted from the two, and Vanity could only catch a proper look at the younger one once Chastity set them on their feet once more.

The child had a small and slim build, and somewhat short in comparison to both her and Chastity. She had a porcelain complexion, and her round face was dusted lightly with freckles. Shiny, auburn hair faded down her back in somewhat thick waves. Her eyes, obscured by her bangs, were large and unassuming with a childlike innocence, and she grinned dopily, exposing a small gap in her teeth. Expectedly, her sclera was jet black, while her irises were formed from green spirals, with no pupil to speak of. Her outfit consisted of a bubblegum pink shirt printed with cartoon cats, a polka dotted tutu and a pair of white tights.

"Hey there, Remi!" Chastity greeted her warmly, just as the small girl noticed Vanity doing her best at hiding herself behind the larger woman's leg.
"Who's that?" She pointed toward her with no subtly, her previous smile dropping into a look of slight fear.
"No need to be scared! She might be our friend, we think that she might be related to Lulu, so you could have a niece! Imagine that, huh? If she is, then we were gonna have a big party, we were just gonna see Colette to find her a pretty princess dress, perhaps you could help us. Her name is Vanity and she's going to be staying here for a while!" Chastity chirruped, then stepped to the side so Vanity had no choice but to face Remi.

The girl clambered toward her excitedly, grinning widely as her small nose scrunched up.
"Hey, you're so lucky, that's such a nice name!" She enthused, and Vanity was stuck on how to reply for a few moments. "It sounds like the table with a mirror on it in my bedroom, that's a vanity too!"
"I- um, thank you, your name is.. good too." Came a stammered reply, and she glanced toward Chastity in a silent plea for her to take the conversation from there. Thankfully, she seemed to understand, and smiled as she descended to one knee in order to scoop the child up in her arms, before lifting her up in the bridal carry.

"And guess what?! Maybe if we're reaaally lucky, Marion might let us have a big slice of chocolate cake after our spaghetti!" Remi giggled cheerily as they resumed walking down the previous path, even as Vanity lagged behind quite a bit. Her awkwardness would be the untimely death of her. As the two in front began talking between themselves, she let her head get the better of her and soon their casual chattering was simply an ill defined buzzing as Vanity returned to her own thoughts. She faintly remembered how Lydia would carry and skip around with her, just in the same way Chastity was capering around the hallway with Remi shrieking with laughter in her arms. Even as she smiled fondly at the memory, Vanity felt her eyes prick with moisture as a sudden sensation of pining and homesickness filled her body.

She yearned for her mother in this moment, feeling suitably alone in this large house full of strange people... and to top it all off, she was still embittered by the whole ordeal. Soon enough, the trio came to a standstill at another pair of double doors, and these ones were painted finely with a light pink colour, with the doorknob seeming unusually well maintained in comparison to the ruinous condition of everywhere else Vanity had been so far. The loud resonance of pop music came from inside the quarters of the room, accompanied by a secondary voice which hummed along with the lyrics.
"Colette!" Chastity hollered over the blaring song, knocking harshly upon the pink door.

A few seconds later, the song was brought to a brisk pause and the doors breach suddenly, and the hinges gave a curt screech with the force, giving way to the person inside. The woman who stood on the other side was distinctly shorter than Chastity. She was limber and slim with a haughty stance, her hand placed on her hip. Her platinum blonde hair pooled around her shoulders in voluminous curls, paired with a set of wide, admirably fetching eyes- at this point Vanity wasn't even surprised by them. Her sclera was ink black, just as her sisters, and her iris was coloured a soft lilac hue, with her pupil fashioned into a diamond shape. Beneath her bottom eyelids were dark, circular beauty marks, fashioning a line of three beneath each of her eyes.

"What do you want now?" The woman referred to as Colette hissed; her voice sounded high pitched, and Vanity immediately found her tone to be painfully snotty. Despite the blatantly rude greeting, Chastity chose not to acknowledge her unfriendliness and set Remi on the carpeted floor, and the child jostled right past the blonde, and bound into the room. Of course, she dived straight onto the queen sized bed, and Colette's expression visibly soured. "I'm busy."
"Well, I'm sure Marion took the time to inform you of our new guest," Chastity began, and then lead Vanity into view. The teenaged girl remained still, gazing down at her bare feet.

"Another one? We have enough people crammed into the dump as it is," Colette scoffed, folding her arms over her chest, "though yes, she did tell me of a girl she discovered trespassing, and I vaguely remember her saying something of an old photo of Lou?"
"Yeah, well, it seems as though Vanity here has no place other than here to stay, so I thought, to help her grow acquainted with the others, I'd host a little.. you know, party!" Chastity said, "and, well, I just thought you could help with dressing her up. We don't have many clothes that fit her, as they're all far too large for her!"

"I can see that.." Colette turned her gaze to the pink haired stranger stood beside her elder sister, offering her an impertinent look upon catching sight of the comically big shirt Chastity had lent her. Vanity's face flared with mortification as she felt the other's judgemental eyes surveying her with no shame.
"Honestly, have you no sense? It's like a dress on her! I'll see what I can do with her, please, just, control the little pest trashing my room!" And with that, Vanity was pushed straight into the room- the door shut once more and they promptly set to work. At Colette's request, they were immediately discarding the shirt.
