In 2045, the War of Bethany ended with a dictator president taking control of the government. This shift marked a move from a democratic to a totalitarian political system. After years of struggle, including fighting, rallies, and protests for freedom and independence, the Bethanians were ultimately defeated.

In that same year, the Land of Bethany saw its people stripped of their voices, rights, and sovereignty. The nation crumbled in front of them. Individuals were detained not due to criminal acts but because the authorities viewed them as threats. Unarmed Bethanians were brutally killed for resisting the government. This widespread oppression instilled fear and a deep sense of helplessness among the people, leaving them feeling weak and powerless.

"Ma, saan tayo pupunta?" an innocent five year old little girl asked her mom as they walked in line, handcuffed with soldiers around them.

Her crying mom smiled at her, "Sunod ka lang kay mama. Huwag kang gagawa ng ingay, ha?"

The girl nodded, innocently. Ipapasok sila sa selda sa munisipyo. The government found out that she was receiving a call from outside of Bethany, they dragged her and her child to jail. It was against Bethany's Revised Constitution, she would be jailed for six years.

A pleasant smell of rotten jail welcomed their arrival. Seven people were there every cell; frail, hazed and unmoving. She was surprised to see a big number of detainees.

"Anong kaso mo?" a big fat lady asked when the soldier stepped out.

She pulled her child behind her before speaking, "Tumawag ako sa asawa ko sa labas."

Pero, hindi pa nagtatagal sa loob ng selda ay sinalubong na agad sila nang sunod sunod na putok ng baril na nagmumula sa labas. She ran to the corner and dragged her kid with her. Rinig niya ang mabigat na pagtatakbuhan ng mga pulis at sundalo, tila nagmamadali.

A grenade was heard followed by gunshots. Nagpaunahan sa paghawak sa metal na harang sa selda ang mga nakakulong.

"Palabasin niyo kami!"

But despite their desperate screams, no one from the outside listened. The firing was way louder than the combined whining of the detainees.

Nene, the mother of the child was in fear as she desperately tried to cover her child's both ears, mumbling nonsense things.

A girl, full of tattoos on her right arm, languidly walked herself behind the thick steel rails. Her pink hair tumbled out of her messy bun.

"Calm down. It's The Keepers."
