The Narration of Life

We enter this world in tears and grasping at the new reality around us

This whole universe appears huge in our innocent eyes.

We marvel at the land and the sky, at the unique creatures sharing this home with us

Energy surged through us as I ran through the meadows, with the wind against our face

Adrenaline filled our blood as we climbed the highest tree, carefree and wild

Our face bloomed into a smile as the butterfly sat gracefully on our finger

As we grow, we sow the seed of dreams in the earth of our minds.

We all have our own gifts, needs, talents which shape the plant called success

For some, the plant thrives and grows into a tree

for they have poured out their blood sweat and tears into it

However for the others, the plant shrivels up and withers away

for they have failed to believe in themselves and proceeded to ignore their dying dream

There comes the time where we shed our youth and wear the cloak of wisdom

While our memories fade away like the last rays of the sun before dusk

We face a desolate stage where only the wind is willing to interact

Our body has trudged on this path of life for too long, carrying our heavy souls

And our shoulders slump where we used to carry the burden

and our tired muscles and weak bones eventually give way to the grim reaper
