Ah the cottage! I've always said there's a great scope for imagination here!!!!! Just today I was walking down the lane surrounded by birches. The leaves were rustling in the wind in such a fashion I seemed to hear a melody. It was in harmony to the buzzing of the cecatas and chirping of birds. All at once it seemed to transform! The forest, I mean. The birch trunks! Why they were now tall grand silver skyscrapers!!!! They each had many different levels with quaint little patios and glowing lights!!!! And the people there! Oh so many many people!!! Their bodies had an ood round shape . They all had the same big round eyes which had a mossy green withwarm milky brown highlights . These people had quaint/tiny stick like noses and their mouths were no more than horizontal slits in their diamond shaped faces.these people all wore Metallicy green with a silver shine clothing., the men had shirts and trousers and the ladies fine gowns. Their clothes covered their arms and legs so I was unable to see what they looked like although I can say their faces had the same sliverly greeny metallic glow . These people were dancing non stop in such a queer fashion to a waltz melody!!!! A two step chasse combination with pirottes and chenes and leaps!!!! It was quite a sight to see. I stood there watching the queer metal silver people in awe. Suddenly they floated ( yes floated! Surprising considering their metallic features!) down to me and surrounded me! I was in the middle of a great green blur. I noticed that as they spun and twirled around me their clothes made a faint tinkling sound. Like that of a wind chime!! I felt so driven by the music that I ended up dancing myself! I found myself in the arms of sometimes a green woman and sometimes a man! The little metal people had somehow grown my size... Or I had shrunken to theres! There were so many people dancing above and below me I never could tell where I was!!! I was having such a splendid time; laughing , twirling, humming with the odd music but after what seemed like weeks of fun I found that all the metal people were becoming blurry, the music slowly grew faint and all at once everything went black!
I awoke to find myself lying on the couch in the cottage. I sat up and looked out the window to see it was still light out. Everyone was playing Yahtzee outside. I was quite confused . How did I get to the couch? What had I been doing? The Memmories of little silver green people came flooding back to me. I jumped up from the couch and rushed out on to the deck , down the path , past the Gate then out to the round about where the entrance to the silver city lane had been. Where the silver skyscraper had loomed... Birch trees stood.... And all that was left of the little green metal people were the round leaves of the birch rustling in the wind. As I stood there looking curiously at the trees,... My mother walked up to me and said; hey you are awake! I was wondering when you would wake up! I turned to her and asked how I got to the cottage couch. " I found u fast asleep here on the picnic blanket by the forest. You must have dosed off while playing with your little doll" my doll? " I asked, I didn't recall taking her to the cottage. Yes said mother u had her dressed in alittle leafy green outfit And u know what? You were both so shiny. It was really cute to see actually. Anyway you should come come have some supper!!!! Still quite confused about the incident I nodded my head and walked hand with my mother back up the path to the cottage. But as I was walking I felt sure that I could hear a faint twinkling odd sound amoung the chirping and buzzing.
