Alone

Lightyears away from his home and low on fuel, a young Lombax sat and watched out the cockpit window of his shuttle. Watching and admiring the millions of stars he passed by, as millions of thoughts and questions raced through his head. Where did he really come from? Where is the rest of his kind? Many of these questions have remained unanswered.

He spent 3 years researching as much as he could about his race, the lombaxes. The once technological and advanced race in the universe, having vanished over decades ago. From all the information and research he has found, it wasnt enough. None of them had said what happened to them, and where they went. The young Lombax felt hopeless, slumping down in his seat. He was all alone, there was almost no doubt about it.

He would suddenly notice a red flashing light on the console, and leaned over to look at it. The words "warning! Asteroid field detected" would appear in bold red lettering. The lombax would quickly look up, seeing thousands of meteors and asteroids zooming by and past him. But before he could switch the ship into manual flight, one of the larger meteorites smashed into the ship making it lose control.

He struggled to hold onto the console, but was flung hard into his seat, hitting his head hard against the head rest. The force of it made his vision too blurry to make anything out, and after a minute, he finally fell unconscious. Laying in the pilot's chair as the main systems automatically strapped him in. He was unaware where he would land, or if he would even survive. But little did he know, fate was planning something much bigger for him.
