In this omegaverse, there will be many kinds of 'shifters'. Shifters are humans with certain parts of their animals (A wolf shifter would have wolf ears and tail) but they can transform into their animal. The species of shifters include;

- Wolf (Changes into a large-sized wolf)
- Dog
- Cat (Many subspecies)
- Dragon (Can turn small or large)
- Fox
- Bunny/Rabbit (Changes into the size of a house cat)

The species of shifter doesn't really matter, the only importance is the rarety. Dog, Fox and Cat are the most common (Some subspecies of Cat are rare) while Dragon, Wolf and Rabbit are rarer making them more valuable.

All shifter's give off scents, some stronger than others, each shifter has a scent unique to themselves. Scent blockers are patches you put over your scent glands to reduce the amount of scent leaving your body, Omega's use these when they are in heat or if they want to hide their identity. Scent glands are on one side of the neck in between the collarbone and the jaw bone.

The only real importance is your ranking, there are three, Omega, Beta and Alpha.

Alpha - Alphas are the highest rank in this system. They are much stronger and typically more aggressive, especially when it comes to Omegas. The Alpha is always the top in the relationship, even in a straight relationship if the Male is an Omega and the female is an Alpha the female would top. (Female Alphas cannot get pregnant) Alpha's usually have a musky scent that can very from Alpha to Alpha, making it unique to each, this scent attracts Omega's. Alpha's have two voices, their normal voice which is what they use in an everyday situation and their Alpha voice, their Alpha voice is a powerful voice that is used to force an Omega, Beta and sometimes other Alpha's to do what is asked. (Alpha, Alpha relationships are a thing, although quite rare. They cannot reproduce though.)

Beta - Beta's are basically humans with some extra features. They have no scent glands making their scents very week. Beta's cannot reproduce with Omega's or Alpha's only other Beta's meaning they reproduce the same as humans (So no heats or ruts)

Omega - Omega's are the lowest in ranking, they are always the bottom of the relationship and go into heat. Heat is when an Omega becomes sexually aroused easily and they're fertility skyrockets and their scents increase making any alpha around them go feral (Unless they have learned how to control themselves) making them more susceptible to rape and unwanted attention. Both male and female omega's can give birth, and no matter the gender they are the bottom of the relationship. Female is the most common gender of Omega's, males are rare but not unheard of (For every 10 Females there is 1 Male). Omega's can function in their heat although if they do not mate they will experience discomfort, laboured breathing, high body temperatures, secretion of a large amount of slick, and all-around pain throughout their body. Omega's can take Heat Suppression Pills that make the symptoms temporarily go away although they come back stronger once the pill wears off. (Omega, Omega relationships are possible but extremely rare. They cannot reproduce.)
