Reasons Why I Think He's Gay

Welcome! I've been a fan of "River Monsters" and Jeremy Wade since middle school. For an older man, he's kind of what I aspire to be...doing what you love and making big bank off of it and simultaneously becoming a celebrity. Who wouldn't want that? 

Anyways, it wasn't until recently that I started having my suspicions that the man might be gay. First off, he's very private about his life. Like VERY PRIVATE. There's 0 information on who's he's dated, even paparazzi pictures don't show him with anyone, man or woman. Even Reddit has suspicions. SO, I was watching a Yt compilation video of Jeremy Wade Worst Injuries Part 1. The last incident in that compilation was from Season 3, Episode 7, called Jungle Killer. This is the episode where he's fishing and an oncoming storm is fastly approaching and suddenly lightning strikes the crew. The sound man on the crew got struck or was right next to the location of the lighting bolt. 

I then began to notice the way Jeremy tends to Chris, the sound man. Jeremy of course checks to make sure he's okay and voices they need to get first aid, which makes sense. Anyone would do that... He says Chris are you okay? and Chris is like yea... :\ and Jeremy says, "Good, good, good, good." and then is very urgent and says, "let's go, let's go, let's go."

Then I began to notice Jeremy HOLDING CHRIS'S HAND. LIKE WTH. Does he need to have his hand held??? Of course not, but Jeremy found a need to hold his hand. Okay, so you might think, well he's taking his pulse. As to which I would respond-um no. He's literally talking and listening to Chris while holding his hand. You CAN'T talk and count in your head at the same time. And you can't listen and answer someone clearly if you're counting in you head. Plus look at the watch, and the placement of their hands, it's too far up. He simply holds Chris's hand and asks him how he is. BUT WAIT. IT GET'S BETTER

Jeremy Wade then finds the need to examine Chris's head. But then he kind of is tousling Chris's hair. And rests his hand on Chris's hair even AFTER he looked at his head. Like- buddy. Well, for a man who can pull out a fishing hook from his own finger, and put a leach on his neck, I'd say that's a pretty soft move for a extreme rugged outdoorsman, ay?

AND THEN I noticed something else and was like- hold up. Chris is lying down in the boat resting his head on a life preserver WHICH IS ALSO on JEREMY'S LeG.  SO Chris's pillow is being balanced by Jeremy's leg, which means Jeremy is supporting his head. UwU

FURTHERMORE, as I was analyzing the crap out of this video I was like, wait a damn minute. Where is Chris's left arm? It's bent in the air...which is fine if it's leaning into your chest, like it was earlier in the video. But here's the thing. It's at an angle leaning out, which is awkward UNLESS it's resting against something or SOMEONE. So, I have no proof, but the proof is, is that there is no proof. Because you can't see Jeremy Wade's left arm either. You can't see the point of contact. You can't see if they're holding hands, or if he's resting it against him. BuT in disagreement with my whole point, Jeremy turns back at the camera to talk and Chis's arm barley moves...so maybe I could be wrong here.

Then they land back at their camp and it's all good. But there's a clip of Jeremy right by Chris's side. And guess what. Jeremy's hand is on Chris's head again AND Chris's hand is right there too. It's a hand sandwich. Chris's head, Jeremy's hand on Chris's head, Chris's hand ON Jeremy's hand. Sooooooo...yeah, why Jeremy, do you feel the need to be so supportive to Chris, huh? Even in the brief clip before that, of the headshot of Chris, we see another hand coming in the frame to comfort his shoulder or head...Probably Jeremy. 

In EVERY CLIP we see JEREMY RIGHT NEXT TO CHRIS, SUPER CONCERNED, like only ONE other producer looked concerned, but Jeremy was ALWAYS there. Now, I know he's the main character, but they could have done some separate b-roll footage of the two men. Like Jeremy reflecting looking out on the water with his pad and pen, or Chris resting. But nope. They're always right next to each other. And plus, they didn't even have to add this in the episode, but Jeremy probably felt obligated to show this. 

Okay, and here's where it get's a little sus. Jeremy says Chris is already feeling better after 12 hours and they're ready to go filming again. BUT he personally narrates it like this: "He is once more back on his feet and eager to get me fishing again." LIKE UwU. Without Chris, Jeremy can't fish. And He made it PERSONAL. He could've been like: Chris had a speedy recovery after 12 hours and the crew is ready to head out once again. BUT NOOOoooo. He says it like Chris is better just for him. 

Alright...I could be totally wrong, but all things considering that we don't see much affection or personal information from Mr. Wade and the first time we do, it's when he cares for another man...idk idk idk anymore dude. 

I found Chris's ig...he follows Jeremy Wade, but Jeremy doesn't follow him back 1) either because it's because Chris only has 40 followers and is essentially a blank account and profile picture, or 2) something happened idk.
