Jack The Ripper

The day started with me peacefully sleeping in my warm, comfortable bed with the large fluffy blankets laid on top of me. That is until SOMEONE decided it was a great idea to disturb my sleep by opening the curtains.
"Lady Claire, it's time to wake up."
"Cathy" Let me sleep!" I whined to that someone as I threw the blanket over my head to protect myself from the bright evil sun. She sighed at me before ripping away my protection. "Cathy!~"
"Come on, you can't sleep all day. I've let you sleep in till nine so you can get up now," Catherine told me as she dragged me out of my safe haven.
"You're so mean! Silvia wouldn't do this to me! I don't even have a case today!" I argued back at her. It was true, I had finished my latest case just yesterday.
"You slept in so long because it was Silvia's turn to wake you up! Now get ready, you have a meeting with The Noble Smithing Company today." She smacked my head before throwing my attire for the day at me. I grimaced when I had realised that it was a dress which had tossed.
No matter how hard Alfred had tried, I had always had a hatred for wearing dresses. They were uncomfortable and impractical, which I was actually glad that she didn't give me a corset as well. She had given me a simple light blue noble dress with white frills, there also was grey stockings and my blue gloves which I always wore.
Once getting into the damn thing, I followed Catherine out of the bedroom towards the dining room. "What's on the agenda today? Is this going to be a boring day?"
"You might find the rest of the morning boring as it is only paperwork and a meeting with a smithing company which I told you about," Cathrine said as she placed my breakfast down in front of me. "The smithing company is owned by a pure-blood noble. A lowly Baron, but has the arrogance of an Earl. He wishes to make a deal with you, however, I feel that is not what he is actually planning to do so."
I sighed this would make third this month. The man's company probably doesn't even make the quality of weapons which I desire anyway. "Then I shall show him what type of weapon I like to use," I say as I finished my breakfast, grabbing my rapier.
When I entered the room which I was meeting the representative of the smithing company, I saw a young man with decent clothing sitting on the couch. He'd looked up at me before getting up.
"You must be Countess Addison. It's a pressure to me you, thank you for excepting our chance of making a deal." He said with a fake smile on his face. "I am Baron Haines, I own The Noble Smithing Company. We make weapons for a lot of nobles with only the best materials."
I smiled at him, "ho? 'Only the best material'? Then can one of your weapons go against this?" I saw pulling my blade out of its sheath, "this rapier is the best I've gotten and it was a gift from my late father. Would one of the swords be able to go against this?"
He gulped, "Oh course! Like I said we only use the best of materials. Let me show you." He grabbed the sword which was on the table before giving it to one of his guards, "how about we do a duel to show which is better?"
"That sounds alright." I say looking at the guard, "how about to the death? To make it more interesting. It will also prove which is better, but if you're scared we can go to when the other surrenders."
He had agreed, probably thinking that he would win, but in one swing I was able to make the guard surrender.
"Smart choice." I smiled, "I named this sword, Nyx after the Greek Goddess of the night."
The man and his guards ran out of the manor quickly leaving only the broken sword behind. Of course, this meant that all that was left to do was paperwork so that was boring.
"Silvia, what am I doing this afternoon? Catherine didn't tell me." I asked my head butler.
She placed the refreshments in front of me, "Cathy wants to get you ready for a party which will be happening tonight. She thought that you might find it very interesting to go to."
"Hmm? Why's that?"
"Apparently Rediline and her partner for her current case are going to be at that party to investigate the Viscount."

Once getting to the party that night, I scanned the room for the familiar red hair that I knew. I found it and it was heading towards the food. With her was a girl with dark hair and was about a head shorter than Rediline. Heading towards that direction, I started to hear their conversation.
"Would you please calm down," the detective asked the girl, "all we have to do is make it so she doesn't see us."
I smiled at them, swirling my glass of wine which I got from a waitress, "My! Don't you look cute as a girl, Puppy? I'm pretty sure I saw your fiancé here. I'm sure she would love to see you like this."
Rediline glared at me as the younger noble started to freak out even more, "Claire, what are you doing here?"
I looked at her with fake devastation, "can I not enjoy a party? Cathy said that there would be great entertainment and she was right!" I took a sip of wine.
"Ugg! If you're going to annoy us, then you can at least help us. We need to get to the Viscount, we believe that he is the culprit."
"Fine, I'll go get the real culprit while you have fun with the Viscount. Also, could you guys take me home when you're done? I told Silvia and Catherine to got home and look after the manor." I tell them as I take another sip. Red sighed and agreed.

After a while, I had encountered a girl who was around my age. I walked towards her to course more fun, since I don't think those two have enough challenge.
"Oh, Lady Addison1 You don't happen to know where a girl with a blue frilly dress and a girl with red hair are?" She asked me, holding my free hand.
I was really loving this party, "why yes. I saw them with the Viscount," I pointed to the host of this great party. She got excited and started to call to them.
What made it disappointing however was it seemed that Rediline and her partner had friends who stopped her from getting close enough to recognise the Earl. Boo.

In the carriage, the two glared at me. I looked at them confused, "what?"
"I know you told her that we were with the Viscount." She said bluntly.
I crossed my arms, "yeah, and you guys stopped my fun!... Also about the case, if you get me information about it, I can go visit my brother and confirm any theories I've got."
Rediline sighed before putting a smile on her face. She could never stay mad with me, the way I couldn't stay mad at her. She grabbed the file which was in the carriage, "here's the case file. Tell me in two days, I'll wait for you at that place."
"...I guess it is that time of the year." I say quietly as I looked at the floor of the carriage.

I walked through the graveyard towards Alfred's last resting stop. When I got there, Rediline was already there with the noble she was with last night, however, both were back in their style of clothing. There were already flowers on the grave, I placed the flowers in hand down. I stayed silent for a moment, "here's your little help." I say as I handed her the note which I had written up yesterday.
She read it aloud, "'Mary Jane Kelly will die tonight. The killers are strange, one is death and one is a doctor. What a strange pair.'" She looked towards me, "can't you stop with the riddles?"
"I can't just solve the case for you otherwise you will get worse. Also, I know you like riddles."
She snorted, "So there are two?"
That's for you to figure out."
