Chapter 1

Chapter one: Destiny

2019 was about to end and people all around the world were holding parties in order to celebrate new year which was 2020. The world prayed and wished for better and happy 2020 but it didn't go as per their expectation. Samphel who was from the capital city of Bhutan (Thimphu) studied MBBS in Singapore. His family owns a factory and was one of the richest in the capital.

''Happy new year'' shouted the innocent people who were to enter in year 2020 and experience miserable life.

It was holiday for all the students and workers so Samphel was also at home in Bhutan with his family to enjoy the vacation and celebrate New Year. Being born as a only son of a rich family Samphel got many gifts from his family members. They were holding a big party in their hotel and invited many guests to celebrate the new year with them.

''Wow! Aunty Wangmo, is he your son Samphel who got admitted in MBBS?'' the voice of a girl came from the back where his mom was facing.

Samphel's mother was a kind of the person who really likes to talk good and praise her only son and loved those who brag about her son so she proudly responded.

''Oh. Yes yes. He is my son. He is studying MBBS in Singapore. You know students around the world wants to join and its not easy to get in the university where my son studies. But my son is so good in studies and he got through in that college and now soon he is going to become a GREAT DORCTOR'' said Aunty Wangmo.

Samphel got pissed off because of his mother's behavior so he went outside for a walk. The guests were still arriving so he thought that it would be nice if he can attend guests who are coming. He went to the main door and asked the hotel manager to introduce him to the guests. Samphel along with the manager attended every guests coming and got to know many business partners and employees of his father's company.

''OUCH!' screamed a girl who was falling down the stairs.

Samphel immediately ran off to save the girl who was in danger. As he approached closer she reached the final step and kept lying on the ground.

''Miss, are you okay?'' asked Samphel.

The hotel manager called ambulance and went near to them. Samphel asked the hotel manager the details of the girl and the managers said that she worked part time at their hotel. Within no minutes the ambulance arrived and many people crowded the emergency. Samphel grab her from the floor and took her inside the ambulance. He decided to go with her but his mother didn't allow him to go as there were many guests and it would be embarrassing for them if he leaves with her. He understood there feeling so he stayed till the celebration was over.

The celebration was over by 3am in the morning and every people started to leave the party. Samphel secretly rushed towards the door at the back of the building and drove towards hospital. There was a heavy rainfall on the way and he got stuck in traffic jam. Samphel looked around the road but it was so dark and hard for him to see anything. He kept waiting and suddenly saw a boy riding bicycle so he asked his driver to open the glass of the car and told the boy to come closer.

''Lil brother, are you in hurry? If not can I borrow your bicycle for a while? I have something urgent to do somewhere and if I walk there then it will take a lot of time so can you please lend me your cycle? I will let my driver drop you once the traffic is cleared'' requested Samphel to the boy.

The boy kept thinking and finally agreed to let Samphel borrow his cycle. Samphle got out of the car and rode the bicycle towards to the hospital in the heavy rain. As he arrived near the hospital he got all soaked and caught cold. But still went to check on the girl who got hurt. He arrived at the receptionist and asked where she was taken and they immediately went through the details and told him that she is in room 104. Samphel rushed towards the room and found that she was okay and got into deep sleep.

He went near her and looked at her face. She looked familiar as he kept looking at her face. She was kind of beautiful with a fair skin and long hair. Her eyes were so beautiful and she had a flat nose. A small mouth and cute little ears. He kept looking at her when his driver came in.

"Is everything ok sir?'' the driver asked.

''No problem. She is fine. Let her rest for a while'' replied Samphel.

Both of them went outside and sat on the chair facing big window, which displayed sky.

And there Samphel asked '' Do I know her uncle? You have been with me since I was a child. You know me more than my parents does. Ever since  I got into an accident last year I lost my memory and it's hard for me to remember. Is she someone I know? She seemed so familiar to me. My mind tells me that I know her. Do I know her uncle?''

Samphel insisted the driver to tell him honestly but the driver didn't say anything. The only word driver said was that he didn't know about her. Samphel was confused but he believed what his driver said to him. He went inside the room and kept his contact card near her bed. Behind the card he wrote her to call him and left the room. He told the nurse to call him if there is anything she needed and went away.
