at the end, regulus never had to live in a world without james potter.

The sun was going down in a reddish colour what painted the pale-blue sky to orange. The moon was already out and some of the stars started to show.
And these lights smiled on a boy with dark hair. His hands held a letter, and that piece of paper was wet by the tears, that has fallen from the hazel eyes. Because James Fleamont Potter was crying. Crying because of the loss of a loved one. Basically, he got dumped over a letter, but it was more than that. He read it once again tears streaming down his face.

My dearest, James,

If you read this I am dead. Words can't explain how sorry I am. I am sorry that Harry will never know me. When he is older, he deserves to know, who I was.

First of all, let me explain. As you know my father died earlier this year, so I needed to get the dark mark. As you know this too, I tried to sabotage them as much as could.
But last week I learned a secret about the Dark Lord. A weak spot.

I died trying to destroy something important to him. Something that makes him weak. I can only wish, that I succeeded.

You aren't the only one I wrote letters to. I wrote each to Sirius, Andromeda, and Cissy. Please lean on Sirius. Help eachother. I know it'll be hard, but I want you to be happy. I want you to live, I want you to live for me, so my sacrifice doesn't go to waste. I died for you Jamie. I love you always and forever. I will love you 'till my last breath.
I will think about you when I die. And I will be at peace. God knows what is on the other side, but I will wait there for you. I will wait for you always.

You are the reason I am happy. Please remember me dearly.

Love you, Darling.
Forever yours; Reggie (R.A.B.)

And after reading it James didn't process things. Is Reggie really dead? Is him? Is the love of his life gone? He sure is. James felt numb. He felt like he lost the better part of himself. The part he loved the most. The part what the young Black owned. The part he cherished.

Last week his biggest problem was, how get Regulus out of the Grimmauld Place. And now it will never happen. James felt alone like the Sun. Too far from the Moon, even tho they love the other.
What's waiting on the beyond? Nothing or paradise? Or hell? James's thoughts were circling through his mind. He felt alone and cold as a walking corpse. He slowly remembered back to his school years.

The first time he met Regulus on the train.

"Hi Sirius" James smiled at his best friend.

"Hi everyone, this is my brother, Regulus."

The young boy sat in the compartment, and took out a book to read.

The second time they met in the hospital wing, because Reg was beaten up by the Prewett twins.

"What happened, Reggie?" James asked the younger Black.

"That's none of your business, Potter." Regulus turned his head away.

The first time they played Quidditch against each other.

"Oi, Reggie, didn't know you were playing!''
Regulus just shrugged as an answer.
