Hell, how many people thought that it did not exist? Well, even if they did not belive that hell existed, that was proven wrong the day that virus was released. It was hell to live in a world full of things that wanted nothing but flesh. It was hell to have to live with the constant feeling that you needed to watch your back, and ever more when there was no more food nor water.
This have gotten worse, survivors were getting killed by zombies and if not by zombies, what was left of the government. It seemed that they still wanted to find the cure but in the process, lives of survivors were taken.
Sighing, you pulled the trigger and a zombie went limb. There were other zombies around but they just looked from side to side not sure where that noise came from. From the top of a building, and laying on your belly and with a snipper in hand, you got rid of another zombie.
How long has it been since you had contact with a human? A year? You were not sure anymore. The time did not matter no more, all it mattered was too be alive, nothing more.
New York, or what was left of it, was the place that you had moved to. Your friends...the wer taken by the government. When you finally thought that you would be able to keep them alive, you had failed. The government had found your location and as much as you fought, you weren't able to keep them safe, you too were taken but when you woke up, you managed to scape. That wasn't so long ago, but you were looking, searching for them. Even if it got you killed, you were not going to rest until you found them safe and sound.
"Hello?"
The walkie talkie that you had found finally was going to be put to the use."Hello, is there anyone?" It seemed it was a female which you were not sure you recognized her voice.
"Please, if there is anyone who can help us, answer." There was a sound of defeat, as if they had tried before and they had failed.
Grabbing it, you cleared your throat. "I can hear you." You finally spoke and forgot the herd of zombies who walked around finding its next meal.
"Oh my god! Please, we need you help. We are at the Broadway theater, we need help. We have no food and there are zombies around us, we have no weapons." She begged.
"I am on my way." With a hard voice, you responded. Standing up, you placed the snipper on your back and stood there watching the zombies. The sun was about to come out, and standing there, the rays of the sun hit your face. You looked down and jumped down ready to help whomever needed your help.
