Chapter 18: Christmas (Short)

I felt bad for Kat. Keith had tried to make a move on me, which I was totally pissed at him. She had to go through all that trouble with Jake, and now Keith? Ugh, humans these days. After we got off the ferry; Kat, Tim, and I all went in Kat's car while Keith took his. When we got back to my place, we noticed a difference: it was snowing. Kat was super excited and danced around it. I don't call her Minty for nothing! I laughed and tugged her into the house, which of course she cried in protest.

Tim opened the door for us and my Aunt Kate rushed up to us, giving me hugs and kisses. I was furiously blushing afterwards, only because Tim was there, but he seemed not to care one bit. She started to ask us lots of questions: where we went, what we did, etc. and we told her everything, except that me and Tim are "official". So anyways, Kat spent the night and it was weekend (it was a Friday), and it was super fun! We must've lost track on the days because on Sunday, it was Christmas, no joke! I felt bad because I had nothing to give to, well, anyone. But neither did Kat or Tim, so it was okay. But somewhere around that afternoon...

"Hey Bell, and I come in?" Tim asks. I think he sounded... Nervous.

"Yeah." I responded, putting my book down. Tim walks in, with both his hands behind his back. "Uh, hun, what are you doing?"

"You'll just have to find out." Tim doesn't move an inch.

"Ugh." I throw off the covers and walk over to him in my pajamas. "What's going on? You made me move from my only source of heat!" I cross my arms like a spoiled child.

"Just shut you mouth for a minute and close your eyes."

I decided protesting wasn't gonna make things any better, so I shut my yapped and close my eyes squeezed shut. After a few seconds, the air seemed to get lighter, as if Tim moved somewhere else. But, I could still feel his presence right in front of me.

"Open." I open my eyes to see nothing change, except that right arm was high above us. I look up and see a little plant, greens leaves with white berries? I don't know.

"Is this a misle-" As I reach Tim gaze, he pulls me in for a soft kiss. I was all tensed up, and he wraps his free arm around my waist, pulling me closer towards him. I relaxed my nerves as kissed back. The moment seemed to last a lifetime, but then I had to pull back for air. "Jesus, I didn't know vampires were excellent kissers!!!" I know we kissed before, but this was different.

"Heh, we, I guess you could say we are, since we vampires are usually alone for most of our lifetime. I love you Bella, and I will always protect you." With that, he pulled me in for a hug, which I obliged.
