"Alex get in the car!" I yelled at my 13 year old adopted daughter who was texting on the couch. "Just a minute!" She yelled back as I rolled my eyes and carefully put a suitcase in the trunk of my suberu. "Alex now!" I yelled as she huffed and strode defiantly to the car. "You can text in the car but we gotta go." I said as Marzia tried to come downstairs with 3 bags. "Marzia I got it!" Alex yelled she would do anything to not be in a car not after what happened. "It's fine sweetie felix can help." Marzia said as Alex started to shake long brown hair quivering as her whole body shook. "Look it's a 10 minute drive to the airport you'll be ok." I said as Marzia looked down at the twins. "Felix what if they come in Cali?" She asked me as I shrugged and helped her into the car. "I was born in Cali." Alex chirped as I smiled kissing her forehead. "I know that's where we adopted u." I said as her face fell turning her green eyes from excited to dull in an instant. "Why the long face?" I asked as she ran upstairs and locked her door unwilling to come out no matter how much begging and bribery was involved. "We have to get her out sometime." Marzia said as we laid on the couch both falling into a deep sleep
