Chapter 1
Hazel's POV

"ARG!" I screamed and threw my phone across the room.
"Wake up miss!" Rebecca, my butler yelled and flipped the light switch a few times for good measure.
I groaned.
I walked over to my bathroom and brushed my teeth. While
doing that I looked in the mirror.
Geez. I look like Hell.
After that i took a quick shower, did my makeup, and got dressed. On my way out of my room I grabbed my backpack and my phone that I had thrown earlier.
You have 28 messages.
"Gee who are they from?" I mumbled already knowing the answer. Monica and Kaitlyn, my two best friends.
I ran down the spiral staircase and stumbled into the kitchen, almost running into Roy, our cook.
"Sorry Roy!" I apologized.
"It is my fault Miss, sorry for being in your way," Roy said apologetically.
"Oh please Roy, you don't need to do that fake apology shit. My parents aren't home," I said.
"Thank you Miss," he said and hurried over to the stove where the pot was boiling over.
"Im off Rebecca!" I shouted, and grabbed a Special K bar on my way out the door.
Monica and Kaitlyn were waiting in Monica's lime green convertible, honking and impatiently waiting for me.
"Darling your not actually planning on wearing that your senior year, are you?" Kaitlyn said as I approached the car.
"Uh I was kind of planning on it why?" I said quizzically.
Mon and Kate gave each other this look of disgust and my only thought was, oh no.
"Get in loser we have 30 minutes before school and we're going to do some super fast shopping." Monica said.
Lets just say that was the fastest shopping trip I have ever been on. In the end I had this incredibly adorable outfit from Forever 21 that I fell in love with. We hopped in the car and made it to school with five minutes to spare. As I got out of the car every eye was on me. Monica and Kaitlyn followed behind and I swear, we were a direct scene out of Mean Girls. It was that epic. Anyway, I spotted my boyfriend Isaac almost immediately. He's tall, lengthy, and was wearing his signature Ray-Ban's. He noticed me, of course he looked right at me and smiled. I made my way over to his car where he was standing next to-ugh i even despised his name, Augustus Waters. Monica is dating him, I give it a week. That's about how long Augustus's relationships last for. Him and Isaac have been best friends since elementary school, I couldn't bear to ruin Isaac's friendship with him. So I just ignore him. I ran over and kissed him, causing him to drop his cigarette.
"Shit," he mumbled but soon forgot once we started our make out session.
"Hate to interrupt you love birds, but the bell just rung," Kaitlyn interjected.
Augustus blew out his cigarette and carried Monica into the school, her giggling the whole way. Isaac kissed me one more time and ran after them, heading towards his homeroom. Kaitlyn and I have the same homeroom so we walked to ours together. We got our lockers, new schedules and a tour of the new classrooms. Once through all of that, we headed to lunch. Kaitlyn led me to our table where Monica, Augustus, and Isaac were waiting.
"Hows your day going?" Isaac asked me between bites of tuna fish sandwich.
"Shitty, and if you think I'm kissing you with that breath of yours, you're kidding yourself," I said, cracking up as i said it.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out breath freshener and put two squirts in his mouth.
"Better?" he asked and grinned.
"Much," I said and kissed him.
"Kaitlyn, you need a boyfriend," Monica said.
"Nah," she said an stabbed her salad. "The single life is good for me."
Monica and I shrugged. Kaitlyn's past relationships didn't work out so well.
Lunch ended all to soon and i was off to my afternoon classes. Both morning and afternoon classes would start tomorrow.
Then before I knew it the day was over and I climbed into the back of Monica's car. The entire way home we jammed to our favorite song Jealous by Nick Jonas and enjoyed the humid September evening.
We drove around town a bit before finally pulling into my driveway to my mansion of a house.
"Thanks for the ride Mon, text you guys later," I said as they pulled out off my driveway and waved.
I pulled out my key and unlocked the door to my house.
"Hey Rebecca!"I shouted.
"Hello Miss Lancaster may i take your jacket?" Rebecca said as if she had rehearsed it.
"Rebecca please, I thought we were done with that sh-" she cut me off with a death glare.
My mother walked into the room.
"Hello dearest! How was school?" she asked.
"Your home from Los Angeles early," I wasn't expecting them until late.
My parents are doctors. My mother a well known surgeon, my father a very successful phycologist with a New York Times Bestselling book. They both had offices in Los Angeles, so they are barely home.
"Our plane came in early," she simply stated. "Come, Roy made dinner."
Dinner was terrible. I considered Roy and Rebecca my parents. After all, they came to everything. My parents might as well have been strangers. We did a lot of small talk, "How's Monica and Kaitlyn?" "Good.", "Still dating Isaac?" "Yep."etc. Once the dinner was over I ran up the spiral staircase to my room and started my homework.
One day down, I thought to myself.
