Newt was the first to wake up, and the first to notice the change of scenery. Instantly he woke up Elaine. And then Anna, and Jess.

"What do you mean we're off course?!" Anna questioned.
"Apparently a late night current swept us away" Newt answered.
"But you put the anchor in the water" Jess said
"Currents are strong enough to pull an anchor out of its place, Jess, especially when the anchor isn't big enough" Elaine informed, her arms crossed thoughtfully as she stood with the group on the deck.

"Well can we get back on course?" Anna asked
"I wrote down the coordinates yesterday, so we should be able to" Newt responded.
"What do you mean we should?" Elaine asked sounding a bit baffled.
"This is a bloody sail boat, if there's no wind we're not going anywhere" Newt said
"Well there has to be a back up engine" Anna suggested hopefully.
"I could try it" Newt sighed.
"Alright" Elaine agreed lowly, while nodding.

---

Elaine and Newt went below deck and went into the closet where the engine sat. And tried it, only to hear a grinned wheeze come from it.
"It's seized" Newt said aghast.
"So now we're just sitting ducks, until we get some wind" Elaine sighed, clearly stressed.

"Hey, We'll be ok" Newt said softly pulling Elaine into a much needed hug "there'll be wind soon, there has to be" Newt said truthfully.

Elaine took a deep breath, and hung onto the Newt tightly.

Anna stood near the door watching the couple embrace each other, her heart warmed at the sight of Elaine finally being with someone who made her happy.

She just hoped she'd find someone herself.

---

The group was astray for days now, and soon they would be running low on food and water.

Water, how ironic is that, there running low and yet there surrounded by it.

"I'm bored" Anna said tossing a ball she'd found, up and down as she laid on the deck.
"Your bored? You have a bloody ball in your hand, if anything I'm bored" Newt retorted.
Elaine rolled her eyes as Newt and Anna started to argue about how was the most bored.

Elaine went up to the upper side of the deck and sat down to let her legs dangle above the water.

The sun started to beat down on her, letting sweat drip down her forehead.

Elaine stripped off her t-shirt exposing her white tank top. And the water would
occasionally splash against the side of the hull soaking Elaine's feet. Slightly cooling her off.

"Stressed?" She heard Jess's voice behind her.
"Yeah..." Elaine chuckled slightly "I hoped that it would be smooth sailing, but I guess the universe had other plans"
"It always does" Jess said "but, hey, if you need anything let me know, I owe you...a lot" Jess said kindly.
"Thanks, I will" Elaine replied with a kind smile.

---

A week had finally passed, and they were about 4 bottles, and 6 cans away from running out of water and food.

"I knew it" Anna said abruptly "I'm going to die alone" she finished.
"Your not going to die alone you have us" Elaine said.
"No, I mean I'm going to die without having a soulmate" Anna said depressingly.
"Trust me, if anyone is dying without a soulmate it's me" Jess said.
"When did you all become bloody depressed" Newt said.
"We're not depressed, just stating the obvious facts" Anna pouted.
"No one is dying, especially without a soulmate" Elaine said "you have my word"

Anna smiled, "Where the north wind meets the sea" she sang
"There's a river full of memory" Jess joined in.
"Come my darling homeward bound" Elaine and Newt dang joining the duo.

Soon they were all singing, as the waves pushed them further into the ocean.

Night had fallen quickly, and the group was still lounging on the deck, gazing up at the stars.

Slowly they each fell asleep. Careless to what might await them in the morning.

---

The latter of rain, and the wet drops of it awoke the group sending them into the cabin below.

"What if there's a storm?" Anna asked as she dried off her hair with a towel.
"Hopefully there isn't one" Elaine replied.

Soon they all fell asleep again, Elaine and Newt lounging on the couch, with Elaine's head resting on his shoulder.

Jess slept on the floor easily, with Anna laying carelessly on the counter. Don't ask, she's always been a weird sleeper.

Elaine's couldn't sleep because of the rocking boat, so she just rested her muscles. Soon Newt couldn't sleep either.

"How can Anna sleep like that?" Newt questioned.
"She's always been a interesting sleeper, in the glade she used to sleep on the oversized tree branches. And not once did she fall" Elaine laughed softly.

Newt laughed along its her, as he held Elaine tightly. Somehow she had gotten in the position of her legs draped across his lap and her head resting her the cloak of his neck.

"Thank you, Elaine" Newt said
"For what?" Elaine asked confused.
"For saving me, for be my wonderful girlfriend, for everything" He said and leaned down to kiss her.

Elaine kissed him back, soon the two had drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
