After a few seconds I let go of her lips. I looked at her in a scared way. "I'm so sorry-" I was interrupted by her leaning in and filling the gap again. The kiss lasted 10 seconds, but it felt like 10 minutes. My mom was washing dishes, and saw us. She froze. Our lips seperated. She had a goofy smile on her face. So did I. For a few minutes we didn't know what to say to each other. I checked the clock, and it was 5:20. "Hey dinner is ready now. Let's go eat." I said. She agreed. I helped her up. When we got inside, chicken wings, rice, mashed potatoes, and corn was ready. We sat down and ate. My mom was looking at us once and a while, trying to process the thing she just saw. But me and Harper looked like we forgot about it because we were putting mashed potatoes on each others noses, laughing. After dinner, we went back to my room. After 10 minutes of watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S. , Harper paused the show and decided to pop the question first. "We got to talk about that kiss sooner or later." I agreed. "Soo, what does it mean?" Harper said. I shrugged. "I have no idea."
