Angel of Death

1: Weirdness of Life

Today was like any other day, or so Nora thought. She has been in the forest chilling with the animals for almost the entire day and reading science fiction. Nora loves going there when bad or sad things happen in life, its like her like get away from life. No one knows about her spot deep into the woods.

Nora's sister, Courtney, was sent out by their mother to find her. Courtney has been yelling Nora's name for the past 5 minutes, trying to find her. Nora then walks out of the forest. It takes a while to get out of her spot since it's in the very center of the forest.

"What do you want Court?" Nora asks.
"Mom wanted me to tell you it dinner time," Courtney states, looking at the sunset.
"Alright." Nora glided the rest of the way home.

*After dinner*

Nora went upstairs to her room. Something was different but she couldn't put her finger on what it is. She went into the bathroom to take a shower. Nora looked into the bathroom mirror and saw something unnatural, her eyes were flashing red. She thought it was just her imagination and just ignored it.

She got into pj's and just layed in her bed, watching tv on her phone. She remembered that she has homework to do so she got out of bed and sat at her desk. Nora kept getting images when she was trying to focus. It was of hundreds of people laying on the floor and a female in the center, she didn't know if it was of a demon or a angel 'cuz it had one black wing and one white wing.

Her homework took an hour to do, which it takes normally half that time to do. Nora did some research about the woman she saw, it was apparently the Angel of Death, Nora didn't know of this person 'cuz she isn't taught in school. It's forbidden to teacher the children about the Angel of Death, so not many kids know about her. It was currently 2:01 and Nora was tired, she went to bed thinking about the weird images she saw.

*In the morning*

It was 5am and she violently woke up, almost jumping out of her skin. She had a dream that she was the Angel of Death and she killed thousands upon thousands of people, both angels and demons, she then walked off a cliff backwards then she woke up, not knowing if she died or not.

Nora was very thirsty so she went downstairs to get some water. She isn't normally up at this time so she doesn't see the sunrise, which she saw for the first time in a while. She was the only one who was up in the house, except for her dad but he was at work already. 

Her dreams kept bothering her, she ended up thinking about it too much. She went into her bathroom and looked into the mirror. Her eyes kept flashing from gray, her natural eye colour, to red. She also noticed her wings are a darker shade of white, it was kind of noticeable but they are still white.

This is gonna be her secret, no one is going to know about the dreams, images, flashing eyes, and darker wings but herself. Nora got dressed and packed her backpack with snacks, books, a jacket, and a journal before going to back her favorite spot. 

She's gonna try to avoid people today so no one will suspect anything. Nora hopes everything will be fine by tomorrow. If not, maybe she might tell someone she really trusts, like her best friend.
