Chapter 5
"A women is like a tea bag, you never know how strong it is until it's in hot water" - Eleanor Roosevelt

The space between the two of us was getting smaller, but neither of us seemed to want to pull away. I jumped when I felt his hand rub the tip of my nose.
"Sorry, you had milkshake on your nose." He whispered, as if his too scared to ruin the moment.
No, what did ruin the moment was a flash going off causing both of us to jump away from each other as if the other was on fire.
We both turn to the entrance of the kitchen to see Chloé holding her purple Instax camera with a smirk on her face. Nikki is standing behind her with the same look.
"Sorry to interrupt but your Dad let us in." Nikki gestures behind her to the front door. "Then we heard a crash so I figured Char had to be around somewhere."
Josh's face is burning red from...embarrassment? I don't know. "I thought you guys were coming later?" He asks and turns to me.
"Yeah we planned for after the movie night didn't we?" My head is still a bit jumbled from what happened, well almost happened.
"No we did, I just didn't give a shit about Josh and thought that you might need some more girl time." Chloé says as she looks at the Polaroid that came out of her camera.
Josh claps his hands. "Well who am I to deny thy of girl time, I know how precious it can be. Don't talk about me too much when I leave." He waves us all goodbye, runs upstairs to get his things and leaves but not before shouting.
"Don't forget about my game tomorrow afternoon after your shopping spree. Bye!" Shit I almost forgot. Did he just leave here with milkshake all over him?
When the door slams behind him Chloé and Nikki turns towards me, both with Cheshire cat grins on their faces. "Was that rehearsed?" I joke with them trying to change the subject.
I start cleaning up the spilt milkshake. My head is still spinning a bit from having Josh so close to me.
"So care to explain?" Nikki asks. Guess there's no avoiding this.
I turn to them both. "How about you guys take your stuff up to my room and I can get the snacks ready. Then maybe I'll tell you guys." I laughed as they groaned and stomped there way upstairs.
I just need a couple of minutes to collect myself, to wrap my head around what the hell just happened. Was he actually going to kiss me? Was I going to let him? No of course not. He's my best friend. It was just a spur of the moment kind of thing. Right? Oh god I hope so. Life is going as smooth as it can possibly be.
After a couple of minutes by myself I take all the snacks I got for tonight and go upstairs, readying for the interrogation I'm about to go through.
When I enter my room, I'm quite surprised with what I see. Instead of them jumping into a million questions they're both sitting silently on my bed with innocent looks on their faces. Guess we're really speaking about this.
"Okay so what do you want to know?" I ask them.
By now Chloé is practically bouncing. "Are you kidding me!?"
"What she means is; what did we walk in on? Were you guys actually going to kiss? Did we just ruin the birth of Joshlotte?" Nikki asks excitedly. It's weird to see her so excited since she's always so relaxed.
