Jungkook was in the shower when you heard a notification from his phone. You turned to it and saw that it was from a contact named 'N.'

"He should do it tonight...he's been taking way too long already. Everytime I think he's about to do it, he hesitates," you mumbled to yourself. You heard the shower turning off and went to your shared bedroom. The two of you had been dating for 9 months and you were genuinely happy with him. Though, you were surprised that your relationship even prolonged as you didn't expect Jungkook to take so much time.

He came to the bedroom with a frown on his face, making it obvious that he had just seen the text message. "Baby," you cooed.

"Yeah?"

"Let's go to the meadows."

"When?"

"Right now."

"Now? Are you sure? It's midnight."

You could tell he was very confused as he expressed his uncertainty on his face due to your sudden request.

"I know. I just want to, Koo"

"Okay, princess. Anything for you," he smiled as he leaned down and kissed your lips.

Once you both had reached the meadows you automatically grinned, inhaling and letting out a giggle. You loved the meadows, and Jungkook did too. It was the place, other than the apartment, that you both spent the most time in. It was special.

The two of you would always lay down next to each other and, truly, those moments were the most beautiful.

The meadows were purple, the color both you and him loved. It was filled with lavenders, giving a fragrant scent. But if you were to describe the meadows with one word, you'd say 'serenity'.

It was very cool and relaxing, the midnight chill arising goosebumps on your skin. The stars were out, lighting the sky up beautifully. It was the perfect night.

As usual, you both laid down next to each other. At first, you faced at the sky while he watched you with the most loving eyes you'll ever see. You then turned your gaze to him as the both of you exchanged smiles.

"Why'd you suddenly wanna go here? And at midnight, that is," he questioned, scooting even closer to you.

You just kept quiet, wondering how to tell him.

You had always known that he brought a gun everywhere. He strapped it underneath his clothes. And so you thought that it was finally the time to let him know that you knew.

"Jungkook," you started, smiling fondly at him.

"Yeah, princess?"

You hands drifted to where his gun exactly was and when you touched it, he jerked up with the most surprised expression plastered on his face. Before he could say anything you stopped him by pressing a finger on his lips. "Can you please let me talk first?"

Your desperation for him not to say anything, or to interrupt, was made clear. You, then, gently put Jungkook back to his previous position, lying beside you.

He started to shake, feeling shocked and confused.

"I want you to do it now," you said, softly, reaching for his hand. "I'd like to die in the meadows, it's my favorite place. It'd be a beautiful place to ascend, wouldn't it?" you chuckled, although both of you knew that you were being nothing but serious.

There was a dreadful silence for a while before he spoke.

"W-when did you find out?"

"Not even two weeks after we started dating. I'm my father's daughter, I'm not stupid enough to not realize," you answered.

Your father was a very rich and powerful man with enemies. A lot of enemies. And knowing you were his heir, they wanted you dead. So your father's enemies sent numerous hitmen but, of course, all of them failed. You were warned that since directly trying to kill you wasn't working, they'd try to have a hitman go 'undercover' and earn your trust enough to finally kill you. In Jungkook's case, he tried to make you fall for him.

"I knew what you were trying to do and, Jungkook, it's safe to say that you were successful. I love you, I'm so, so in love with you," you said, voice not faltering or showing fear. You were relaxed and anticipating, if anything.

"You sure did take your damn time, though. 5 months in and you still hadn't killed me. I had already even said 'I love you' by then. I was waiting too, you know," you let out another soft chuckle, "I meant what I said, though. I know I'm not supposed to, and that it's stupid, but I genuinely fell in love with you."

His eyes were brimmed with tears, and he would've cried already if he hadn't tried to hold it back in. You sat up and he did the same. "Y/N-"

You shushed him again and climbed to his lap, your legs on either side of him as he wrapped his arms around your waist. You cupped his face with both of your hands, making sure he looked at you dead in the eyes. "Jungkook, it's okay. I don't care, you can kill me. Do it now," your smile never leaving your face, "please."

"Y/N, I can't-"

"I love you. I don't know if the Jungkook I fell in love with was an act or not but I couldn't have cared less. You can kill me now and get it done, Koo. I don't mind dying in the hands of someone I love, and especially in somewhere as beautiful as this meadow. I might even call myself lucky."

"Y/N- you don't understand. I- I love you too, I love you way too much it hurts. I knew I shouldn't have, but trust me when I say you're the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't and I won't ever. I don't care if my boss kills me for not doing what I was assigned to, I might kill myself anyways if I did that to you," he vulnerably said, voice barely above a whisper but laced with sincerity. His tears had began to stream down his face but you wiped them away gently with your thumb.

A gentle breeze came, caressing your skins.

"I don't want you to die," you muttered, eyes becoming watery as well.

"I don't want you to die more," he replied, tightening his arms' hold on your waist.

"Y-you actually love me right?" you asked, hesitant.

"More than anything in this world," he beamed.

"Let's try to find a way, then. Somehow. But if we don't, I guess we'll just have to die together," you spoke into the crook of his neck, embracing him.

He hummed, running his fingers up and down your hair.

"As long as I'm with you, princess."
