My eyes widened in disbelief. What was even going on right now? Massimo turned his head to look at Dimitri, and my gaze shifted from one man to the other. The tension that appeared in the air was thick, and I downed the rest of my champagne in one gulp. I never claimed to be a lady. I was still so confused as to what kind of game Dimitri was playing. Whatever kind it was, it pissed me off. He was interfering with my part of the job.

The two men continued to stare at each other, and I quietly coughed, drawing their attention towards me. "Bathroom?"

"Name?" Massimo questioned, tearing his eyes from Dimitri to look back towards me.

"Of your bathroom or my name?" I retorted, a soft smirk gracing my full lips.

"Yours."

Licking my lips, I strolled towards Massimo, shuffling the now empty glass from one hand to the one other. "Venus Reaux. Pleasure to meet you."

His hand slid easily into mine, practically encasing it in his much larger one. It was warm I found, and a few callouses could be felt against my softer palm. Shaking it, I smiled brightly and moved to stand beside Dimitri.

"Just calm down, Mina. Remember where you are." Daniel spoke to me through my ear piece and I found myself letting out a quiet breath.

Dimitri slid his arm through mine, looping them together and I glanced at him, the smile still plastered on my face. I took a chance to glance at Domenico who continued to watch us like a hawk, but never uttering a word.

"And how do you two know each other?" Massimo questioned, motioning for us to start walking.

I quickly jumped in before Dimitri could.

"Mr. Kozlov has a few paintings he would like restored and contacted me. While meeting for business, he asked if I'd like to join him this evening. He spoke of some beautiful pieces you had, and well..."I paused, brushing the blonde hair from the wig over my shoulder, "I just couldn't pass it up."

He did't reply to me, merely kept walking until he were in another long hallway, pointing to a door to his left. "This is the guest bathroom. Try not to get lost again." He glanced at Dimitri before strolling away, Domenico taking one final look at us before following behind Massimo.

Shooting my eyes to Dimitri, I walked into the bathroom and slammed the door behind me, resting against it. My head lulled back and I closed my eyes, exhaling loudly.

"You okay?" Daniel spoke quietly, and I knew from his tone he was testing the waters of my mood.

"Not one fucking bit." I whispered, pushing away from the door to stand in front of the sink.

Even looking in a mirror I couldn't recognize myself. The brown contact covered my blue eye, allowing for it to match the other. Fucking heterochromia. The nose and chin prosthetic's did what they were suppose to and only altered my face further. It didn't make me unattractive, but it didn't make me desirable either. I hated them, honestly. They made my face itch after wearing them for too long and took forever to get the adhesive off.

"I'm leaving after speaking with Dimitri."

"Something is off. I think we should just pass." Daniel was probably right, but I had already gotten this far and there was no backing out. He needed this money more than I did.

Shaking my head, I adjusted my dress and took one more look at myself. "It'll be fine."

I wasn't sure if I was trying to convince him or myself at that moment. I felt it too. Something in my gut told me to tell Dimitri that the deal was off, give him his money back and never see him again. Yet, I was determined to finish. To not tarnish a perfect record because of his stupid mistake. He was drawing attention to me, and that would only result in Massimo being suspicious. I needed him relaxed and calm, going about his night normally.
