Kokichi was currently pacing inside Shuichi's study "No more teasing me" He said in a mocking tone "Don't touch anything that isn't yours" He said in the same tone "Then what the hell am I supposed to do??" He said obviously frustrated "Everything in here is yours! Even this stupid air!! Want me to stop breathing too??" He let out a huff and sat on the ground. He hadn't noticed Shuichi stepped into the room "Kokichi?" He called out and looked around before seeing him "Why are you on the floor?" He asked and walked over to him, kokichi mentally groaned as he quickly stood up and put on a bright smile "No reason!" He said to him.

"Oh alright..." Shuichi said slightly skeptical but decided to let it go "Did you decide to read a book?" He questioned and looked over at him. Kokichi blinked a few times before nodding "Yeah! Definitely... I just love reading..." He said in a strained tone as he frowned "Because yay! Books..." Shuichi stared at him for a moment before sighing "Well, I'm sorry kokichi but there isn't much for you to do without endangering yourself" He explained in a serious tone "Have you ever tried to read?" He asked. Kokichi narrowed his eyes at this "Well, no. Not really, if you haven't guessed books don't really work underwater" He said and crossed his arms.

Shuichi glanced around for a second before getting a thought "If you want, I can fetch a book I read to learn about sirens and such?" He suggested and looked back at kokichi. He seemed to like the idea as he nodded "Yeah sure, why not!" He said to him and smiled. Shuichi gestured for kokichi to follow him as he walked towards a bookshelf and scanned through all the books. He quietly mumbled to himself before finding it "Ah ha! Here it is" He said and grabbed it, he looked at the title before turning to kokichi "Here it is, this book has everything you need to know about mythical creatures! Including sirens" He told him and put the book on the table.

Kokichi just stayed silent as he watched him, he moved closer to him and stood behind him, watching him flip through pages of the book until he stopped "All you need to know about sirens! Of course, we don't know everything about them yet but this has mostly everything" He said and moved off to the side a bit so kokichi could see the book. Kokichi stared at the pages for a second before looking back at Shuichi with an annoyed look "What?" Shuichi said confused "Can you not-" He started before getting cut off "Yes I can read idiot!" He said and crossed his arms, turning away from Shuichi "Just... not very well..." He said the last part quietly, hoping Shuichi didn't hear it but he did.

"Well... If you can't read then how about I read to you?" He suggested and smiled at him. Kokichi blinked a few times after hearing this and slowly turned around towards Shuichi, slightly surprised "Really..? You'd read to me..?" He questioned before smiling brightly and nodded excitedly "Sure Saihara-chan!! I'd looove for you to read to me!!" He looked down at the book before looking back at Shuichi "I don't want to read me that book! I already know everything about sirens!! I'd just be fact-checking you every second and that's no fun!!" He said and pouted "Read me a different story!! Something I've never heard before!!" He demanded.

"Alright, Alright," Shuichi sighed and picked up another novel they could read. It was a fictional ghost story based loosely off of actual events. Shuichi thought Kokichi might be interested in something like this. He held up the book to Kokichi.

"Ah, what about this one?" He asked politely. "That looks like a great choice ShuShu~!!" Kokichi smiled at him, gesturing for him to come closer to him. Kokichi was already sitting in a chair waiting for Shuichi to join him. Shuichi was confused about why he chose the chair instead of the couch but didn't look too much into it.

"Shumai~ You need to come and sit next to me~," Shuichi knew he was only teasing him...but it still made his heartbeat increase. He covered his mouth with his hand as his arm that was holding the book fell to his side. Kokichi giggled at how embarrassed he got from a little teasing but soon shut up as Shuichi walked over to the side of the chair.

Kokichi slowly got up and allowed Shuichi to sit down and after a moment he sat on his lap. "Kokichi?!" Shuichi gasped, hiding his face in his hands. "Oh, Shu~ I love when you get so flustered over these kinds of things~" He turned around on Shuichi's lap and put his hands on his shoulders. Shuichi looked up at him for a moment before he quickly looked away as his face got even hotter.

"You know I like to see your face you know~," Kokichi teased, poking Shuichi's chest making him yelp again. Shuichi didn't know why he let Kokichi make him this flustered...before he was always so serious because of his occupation...he did get flustered occasionally but didn't let it show, but with Kokichi...it's like all his control went out the window...

"K-Kokichi, I" Shuichi started only to be cut off with a groan from Kokichi. "Ghh," Kokichi held his wound and fell against Shuichi's chest. Shuichi was surprised that Kokichi fell that quickly from the random outburst. He didn't think his wound would have randomly affected him like this...but knowing Kokichi, he was probably hiding this from him...and he is a Siren so he must heal differently...

"Hey, it's ok...just don't move..." Shuichi took a minute to wrap his arms around Kokichi so he was more comfortable as well as making sure Kokichi didn't move that much so the wound wouldn't get worse...

Shuichi looked down at the pale boy who was shivering. He didn't know what to do...but it was already getting kind of late...he eventually decided that putting him to bed was the best option. "Hey, Kokichi...I'm going to put you to bed in one of the guest rooms alright?" Shuichi didn't expect a response and was kind of surprised when Kokichi gave him a small nod.

Shuichi slowly picked up Kokichi and moved him to the guest room carefully making sure to not hurt his wound. When he got to the room he quietly moved over to the bed and tucked Kokichi in the covers.

"Hey, Shuichi?" Kokichi asked with a groan going to get up from the bed. "You shouldn't move...what do you need?" He asked after gently pushing him back into the bed. "Could you read to me while I fall asleep?" He asked with a tired smile. Shuichi smiled back at him. "Of course,"

-Storytime! Sorry for the later update I got home from Camping today and was pretty exhausted for a while...but I'm feeling better now! Thank you all so much for reading!!-
