Kaitlin & Friends: Jungle Adventure

Part 1

It was a calm night at Kelly's house, and she and Carly were having their sleepover, even though they were grown women, while Kelly's husband was out of town. They were reading a story. "Even with the rain, the ship would still sail and the children would go to Jungle Island," Carly read, yawning.

"I'm tired too. Goodnight!" said Kelly, as she and Carly turned off the lights and headed to sleep, when Kelly's closet turned into a stairway and doors, with none other than Kaitlin McKreckson and Chica walking out. Kelly and Carly woke up and noticed it. "KAITLIN! CHICA!" they both yelled.

"Hi Kelly, Hi Carly!" said Kaitlin, "Are you reading Jungle Island? I love that book!"

"Us too." replied Kelly.

"A pirate ship, the waves, and an adventure in Jungle Island!" said Kaitlin, as Chica clutched onto her.

"I'd love to sail on a pirate ship to Jungle Island, just like in the book!" replied Carly.

"Same here!" Kelly added.

"We could do those, as long as we use our imaginations!" Kaitlin suggested.

Kaitlin:

It's Fun to Imagine on a Rainy Day

To daydream inside in a very cool way

I imagine I'm many sorts of things

Kelly:

Like a pirate, a doctor, or a king.

Kaitlin:

I like to imagine many things in store

Carly:

So many things I've never seen before!

Kaitlin:

Imagination is the key to being so cool

A fun way to get you out of boring stuff in school

Carly:

I like to imagine I'm riding a horse

Kelly:

To go swimming or flying, of course

Kaitlin:

It's fun to think of things inside your brain

To stop you from thinking of the rain.

I like to imagine I'm many sorts of things

Kelly:

Like a pirate, a doctor, or a king.

Kaitlin:

I like to imagine many things in store

Carly:

So many things I've never seen before!

Kaitlin, Kelly, and Carly:

"OK! I'm imagining now!" beamed Kelly. "Me too!" Carly replied.

"Good! Because when I climb up the stairway, there's a big surprise waiting!" explained Kaitlin. Chica was already climbing up the stairs, and Kaitlin did so too.
