Author's note: This is my first time doing a story like this. I hope y'all enjoy it. Plz, no hate. I do accept constructive criticism, but keep it nice. Also most pictures, unless otherwise stated are from Google and belong to rightful owners, whoever that may be.
'Oh no,' I thought.
The collision had knocked several people into the water. I twisted, my long green and blue tail swishing behind me. Most of the overboards were now heading for the surface, but one seemed to be sinking towards me. I considered for a second.
I took the chance, my nature getting the better if my reason. Swimming fast towards the sinking boy, I grabbed him under the arms. I pushed forward, not slowed by the extra weight.
My head broke the surface and I pulled the boy up with me. I looked down and noticed the spiky ash blond hair that reminded me of the pufferfish my mom had shown me once. Suddenly my (h/c) hair fell over my (e/c) eyes. I had forgotten what it was like to be on the surface. I returned my attention to Pufferfish.
"Hey!" I smacked his face a bit. "Blond Pufferfish! Wake up."
He growled, then his eyes snapped open. He spit some lake water in my face. His eyes were red, nearly the same color as blood.
"Oh good. You're still alive Pufferfish," I remarked.
"The hell!?" He screeched. I winced, that was rather loud. "Let me go!"
"Sheesh!" I dropped him and he started to tread water. "A 'thank you' would be fine."
"Why would I fucking thank you?" He spat.
"I don't know Pufferfish," I said sarcastically. "Mabey because I just saved your life!" He grumbled at me for a minute.
"Thanks..." Then he went back to kill everything mode. "But don't call me Pufferfish! I'll kill you if you do."
I laughed, "I'd like to see you try. Besides, I don't know your name, so what else am I supposed to call you."
He looked furious. "Bitch if you are challenging me-"
I cut him off. "Oh, I'm not. You wouldn't stand a chance in your current situation Pufferfish."
He looked like he was about to kill me, then he remembered that he was floating in the middle of a lake.
"I'm Katsuki Bakugou, and don't you forget it," he grumbled turning towards the shore. I followed his gaze and saw a group of people clustered there. One that had bright red hair was shouting something over the water.
"Dammit." Bakugou cursed. "Shitty-hair, you're too far away."
"Well Pu-Bakugou, I'm (y/n)," I said, holding out a hand. He glared at me.
"I can't fucking shake your hand water-girl. Even if I could I wouldn't." He turned away and started swimming for shore. I noticed a new boat coming across the water and was a bit too slow to realize my danger.
"Hey! You need help getting out bro!" It was the redhead from the shore.
"No I'm good!" I called back. He came over anyway and offered me a hand.
"I'm Kirishima. Come on, I don't bite." He grinned, showing off his shark teeth.
"You look like you could." I said, not taking his hand.
He laughed good-naturedly. Then he reached forward and dragged me out of the water. He froze when he saw my tail, and I took the opportunity to escape. I flipped around, diving back into the water.
"Bye!" I called before diving to my cave at the bottom of the lake.
When I reached it, my catfish came out and butted against my (f/c) fins. I reached down and patted his head.
"You'll never guess what I messed up today Merry." He- of course- didn't answer.
I pulled my favorite baggy shirt on. Plenty of old clothes ended up in the lake. I used what I liked, and ripped up the rest to make new things. Like my hammock. I went over to it and lay down. I drifted off to sleep, pushed by the gentle currents circling my cave.
