chapter thirty one : a battle to recover

Marinette pov.
As the days past I started to become more and more weak ? I always wanted to get better so that I can enjoy my life like I'm supposed to ?? But when my friends visit me I just feel so helpless??
  That's what I have been afraid of my whole life ?? I have always stood up for what I had believe in ?? But now that I lie here in front of all of them makes me feel less confident and more weak than anything???

As they left I got up from my hospital bed and went to walk around the hospital ? I saw a little girl crying over her dying mom in the other room next to mine ?? So I decided to walk in the room to comfort her ?? It was the least I could do ??

I started to talk to her in a calm voice ?

I bend down and hugged her first and I started to talk slowly...

Marinette " hey it's okay I'm here ? What's your name little one ??" I smiled and wiped her tears ...

Grace " I'm grace ? Is my mommy going to be okay ?? I don't want her to die ?? Please dont leave me mommy please ?? What about your promises to protect me ?? " she cries out loud while hugging me tight ..

Marinette " I'm really sorry about your mommy ?? I know why don't you let the doctors help your mommy while you come walk with me for a while ?" I smiled at her as I holded out my hand ...

Grace " okay " she grabs my hand and we walked out together...

Meanwhile with Adrien and the others....

Adrien " well you guys should go home and gets some rest okay ?? Thanks for your help again today ??" He smiles at them ...

Levi " of course boss we would do anything to help marinette out ?" He smiles and shakes Adrien's hand ..

Nathaniel " is she really going to be lay though? The doctor said she shouldn't be moving around right ?? " he sighed while seeing marinette walking around ....

Adrien " yeah she shouldn't why you ask ?? Is something wrong??" He looks around and they all see marinette holding a little girl's hand and walking in the distance...

They run to her but marinette turns around and the little girl stands in front of her ?? And yells at them....

Grace" who are you ?? And why are you following us ?" She yelled at them loudly....

Marinette got down on her knee and replies to her questions ...

Marinette " they are here for me grace ?? It's okay they won't hurt you I promise?" She smiled at her while grace was holding her hand once again....

As they all looked confused Adrien was the first one to start talking ..

Adrien " marinette why are you out of your bed ? You should be resting ?? You could have hurted yourself even more now ?? I mean and why is this little girl here with you ?? " he smiles politely...
