I See You

With emotions bottled up inside you,

you don't wanna let anyone through.

Fighting battles on your own, you're a worrier.

You can't let anyone see you vulnerable ,so you've built a barrier.

You get hurt, but you burry the feeling so no one can see,

Then you suppress every little emotion , lock the door to your heart, and deny the world your key.

Bounded yourself in chains, you're not really free.

Condemned yourself to emotional solitude, that's how you've chosen to be.

you stay silent , maybe pretend to be okay

Or you Ignore what you're feeling, perhaps let it drift away..

But it shouldn't be like that.

You put a smile to cover it up but deep down you're torn apart.

You tell yourself to stay strong,
to keep it together, to hold on.

Even when the nights are too long,

when the sun won't rise and everything is going wrong,

Even when you feel like you can't make it to the end of the road..

when the nights have gotten too cold

you still choose to stay quiet,

to stay silent.

But you're not alone. You're loved.

You're more than anything you've ever thought you are,

you are star,

you glow in the darkness even from  afar.

And just so you know it has to be dark for the stars to shine.

You don't have to keep pretending like you're fine.

It's okay to crack,

'couse you're not made of stone, you have a heart.
