Endless Love ("Neiko")

Christmas

After Tuesday, December twenty-third, the Kisaragi kids were let out of school for Christmas break.

Naomi and Seiko were helping Naomi's mother prepare for the upcoming holiday; cooking food, getting gifts ready, and setting up the decorations.

This year Seiko's family was going to spend the Christmas with Naomi's. They were all very excited for this, but they also had some concerns. Naomi, nor Seiko, wanted anyone to find out about them.

While Naomi's mother was cooking some food Naomi walked up to her, "Mom, listen for one second please?"

"Yeah, Naomi?" She responded.

"Can you please, please, please keep Seiko and I a secret?" Naomi pleaded.

"That'll be hard, considering everyone will notice you at the party." Natsumi replied.

Naomi shot her mother a glare, "You know what I mean." Naomi sneered, "I mean our relationship."

Natsumi hummed and nodded, "Okay, I'll keep my mouth sealed."

"Promise." Naomi commanded.

Natsumi sighed, "I promise, Naomi."

Naomi nodded, "I'll be upstairs if you need anything." She said, before walking off.

Naomi walked upstairs as she thought about how her Christmas would go. She thought it'd be best not to overthink anything. Naomi reached her bedroom and stepped in. She smiled at the sight before her; Seiko curled up on her bed, asleep.

Naomi walked over and sat at the edge of the bed. She started rubbing Seiko's back, while whispering her name.

Seiko grunted and rolled over and looked up to see Naomi. Seiko smiled.

"Hey, Naomi." Seiko said sleepily.

"Are you going home? Or are you staying here?" Naomi asked.

"I want to stay here." Seiko responded.

"Do you have your clothes for Christmas Eve tomorrow?"

Seiko nodded.

"Seeing as you already have pajamas on, I should've guessed." Naomi replied, with a giggle.

Seiko smiled even wider at Naomi.

Naomi smiled back at Seiko, "Okay, you can go back to sleep, it's late. I'm just going to help my mom finish up and then I'll come back up."

Seiko nodded and kissed Naomi's knuckles before she had gotten up. Naomi giggled softly and left the room.

Naomi went downstairs and finished up the cooking for her mother. After she had finished it was almost eleven. Naomi shut everything off and went back up to her room.

The lights were still on when she walked in; Seiko fast asleep on her bed. Naomi smiled and went to her dresser, picking out a shirt and pants to sleep in. She changed quickly, throwing her school uniform in her hamper.

Naomi shut off her lights and got in bed next to Seiko. She somehow managed to get the covers from under Seiko onto their bodies. Naomi curled up next to Seiko, holding her close. She soon fell into a deep sleep.

The next morning the girls were awoken by Naomi's mom running into her room screaming their names.

Naomi shot up, "What?!" She screamed.

"Seiko's family is coming over earlier than we agreed." Natsumi replied.

"What time?" Naomi asked.

"In an hour." She responded.

"They're coming at one?! What're they doing?! We said five!" Seiko exclaimed.
