The Unknown District (A Hunger Games story)

*Peeta's POV*

There must be something that I should have known.

I don't know where I am... I don't even know who I am.

I feel weird.

Why am I wearing this kind of suit? Was I even a part of the Hunger Games once? Were there people I might have left?

But nevertheless, the games might be over. And I should be happy of that.

*bumps a little boy named Evid*

Peeta: Oops. Sorry.

Evid: You should be! Look, my masterpiece is gone.

Peeta: *looks at the pieces of stick in the ground* I'll help you get those back. *Tries to be friends with Evid* *sits beside Evid*

Evid: Why are you here?

Peeta: Me?

Evid: What I mean is, you came all the way from District 12 right?

Peeta: I did? I don't know anything about myself anymore. *confused*

Evid: Yeah. You were once with Katniss way back there but she went away too.

Peeta: Katniss? *Tries to remember but fails*

Evid: Do you even remember your own name?

Peeta: *scratches his head* Look little guy, I don't even know anything now. I only exist but I do not live.

Evid: *stands up* You're Peeta Mellark. You were one of the two winners of the 74th Hunger Games, with Katniss Everdeen.

Peeta: *Gets surprised*. But where is Katniss now?

Evid: Last thing I heard about her is she was with her boyfriend Gale Hawthorne.

Peeta: Oh. *sighs* What's your name by the way?

Evid: I'm Evid Helmap. *shakes hand with Peeta*

Evid's mom: Evid! Where are you?

Evid: I gotta go. I'll see you around when I can. We can meet by the big tree in the middle of the town later this afternoon. See ya Peeta.

Peeta: *waves goodbye*

I'm so lost in this place. But there's someone who knew me, who knew who I was.

I might have had a good life before, but what might happen to me in the future might be better.

Is there even anyone who's searching for me or am I really gonna be unimportant in this world?
