"Hey, where've you been?" Ally asked as I sat down at our usual table for breakfast on Saturday morning.

"Gizmo." I replied yawning.

"Oh I didn't see you I was at the stables like half an hour ago." Rosie said.

"Weird." I replied. "So what are we doing today?" I asked everyone.

"Well we were thinking of going to town, there's an awesome saddlery there they have the coolest stuff." Imogen suggested.

"Fine by me, I need a new red saddle pad." I said.

"You've got tonnes of saddle pads!" Rosie said laughing.

"Yeah well not a red one and I have a red polo shirt." I explained.

"Do you have to have everything matching?" Ally laughed.

"Yes of course!" I exclaimed. "Ok just let me get changed I'll meet you at the front of the school in 15." I said taking my piece of toast with me as I began walking to our room. I got changed out of my tracksuit pants and hoodie into a pair of jeans, a stripy t-shirt and my favourite grey low-top converse.

"The stuff here is so cool!" I said excitedly looking at all of the colourful patterned gear.

"I know it's my favourite saddlery ever!" Ally said her hands already full with tack.

"Do you think teal or lime green would look better on Annie?" Imogen asked holding up 2 headstalls.

"Green." Ally and I answered together in sync.

"Cool thanks." She said skipping back to put the teal one away. I finally reached the saddle pad section and I began sorting through the mess of colours looking for a full sized red one.

"What about this?" Rosie asked me who was looking for a pink saddle pad for Tinkerbell, she was holding up a red saddle pad with a white pattern on it and a white trim.

"Yes, that's so cool!" I said excitedly. "What size is it?" I asked hoping it would be the right size.

"Full." She said reading the tag.

"Yay! Thanks!" I said taking it of her. I was walking back to the checkout to pay for my saddle pad before I got sucked into buying myself more stuff when I saw a bin filled with patterned horse boots and they were buy one get one free! I walked over to the bin and picked out two pairs one with a black and white floral print the other cheetah print with navy straps.

"Those are mine." I heard a voice behind me and saw that Melody girl.

"Excuse me?" I asked.

"Those boots you're holding, they're mine." She said pointing to the black and white pair in my hand.

"No they aren't, I found them in the basket." I told her.

"Yeh but I was going to buy them so they're mine." She said snobbishly.

"Well there's another pair right there so you can have them." I smiled beginning to walk off.

"I want those ones." She said stopping me and grabbing the black and white ones out of my hand.

"Really, did you wanna be any more immature?" Ally asked sassily walking from behind me up to her and snatching the boots out her hand and giving them to me.

"Oh go away Ally no one likes you." Melody said smirking.

"You're so irritating!" Fired Ally. "Go on Kai you buy YOUR boots while I deal with this mole." Ally said staring at Melody in the eyes while I tried not to laugh.

"No you stay I don't want those stupid boots anymore anyway." Melody huffed marching off while Ally and I cracked up laughing.

"Good one Al." I said as we walked to the checkout.

"I can't believe you're actually trying out for the eventing team!" Imogen said interrupting me from filling out my application form.

"Well I may as well try, my parents did give me extra lessons and everything so I don't think they'd be very happy if I didn't even try." I explained.

"True." She sighed.

"Anyway, Kai is a good as rider, I reckon she's better at jumping than all of the seniors and Gizmo is an incredible horse, what's the highest he's jumped?" Rosie asked me.

"1.30m with me riding and 1.40m with one of my Mum's friends." I told them.

"See that's good as, the eventing team only jumps 1.20m and that's only if you can, the minimum you have to be able to jump is 90cm. Rosie told me encouragingly.

"Yeh but I'm not that good at dressage." I told them.

"Yes you are, I saw you in that dressage lesson we had you were the best in our group! You're the only one who did a perfect flying change." Imogen said.

"Yeah that's where all my extra lessons went." I laughed. I began to finish filling out my application form when my pone buzzed.

Ally to Kailey: Do you guys wanna go for a trail ride tomorrow?

"Hey do you guys wanna go on a trail with Ally and I tomorrow?" I asked the girls.

"Yeh sure." They both replied smiling, we didn't ride today as we were in town all day.

Kailey to Ally: Yep sure, what time?

Ally to Kailey: Meet at 10 at the stables?

Kailey to Ally: Cool see you then :)

"Hey Ally!" I said looking into her stable at 9:50am the next day, she was bent over picking out Chuck's feet.

"Hey guys!" She greeted the three of, "I'm so excited for this trail ride I haven't been out in ages!" She said.

"I know me neither! I've only been on one other trail ride the whole time I've been at Oakwood." I replied.

"Really?" There's so much to show you!" Imogen laughed from across the aisle.

"Well I guess Imogen's the leader for this ride." I said laughing while all the girl nodded in agreement. We all quickly brushed our horses before saddling them. I decided I wanted to use my new cheetah print and navy medicine boots so I used a navy saddle pad to match. In no time at all we were all ready to go, once Imogen had told Miss Cambridge where we were going we all mounted and headed outside into the sun.
