The cool wind blows through my hair as we drivee out of Hawkins. Should I Stay or Should I Go plays on the radio as I gaze out the window. What have I gotten into?

I joined the party in the beginning of the school year. Mike, Lucas, Dustin, and Will and I became pretty close. We're currently driving to an unknown town to find more information on Hawkins lab, Hopper as the supervisor.

Hopper has been in a mood ever since El went missing. I never actually met her, but the stories about her seems surreal. I'm sure she's great.

Click, goes the radio.

"What the hell?" Mike winces as a confused look grows on his face. "I was listening to that"

"Sorry kid. No music." Hopper says.

"Why not?"

"Because it's annoying" Hopper says while raising his voice, "and so are you."

Mike pouts and turns forward in his seat (the front passenger, obviously)

Lucas is sitting on my left and Dustin on my right. Will is in the trunk of Hopper's truck. Poor Will.

We hear a quiet voice from the back of the car saying, "I don't care if it's on or off, Mike."

Lucas agrees and says, "Yeah it's fine. Relax man."

Mike shoots him a dirty look and continues to pout. I agree with Lucas and Will, "Yeah, it's okay Mike. We don't need it. After all, Hopper's in charge"

"Well he shouldn't be. We don't need a babysitter. I'd rather have Nancy here. Who even invited you to the group, Y/N? Definitely not me." Mike says, annoyed.

Dustin's usually upbeat expressions changed very quickly. "I invited her, okay Mike? She's in the party now, you know this" He defensively says.

"Yeah, but-" Mike says.

"But what? You just can't handle another girl being around besides El."

Mike rolls his eyes and looks away.

"Thanks" I whisper to Dustin while letting out a tiny smirk.

"That's what friends do, right madame?" He says with his big smile. He's such a pure soul.

I giggle, "Yes my lord."

His smile grows even bigger and he looks away nervously. His curls glisten as we watch the sunset out his window.

He looks back and me and grabs my hand. I lean my head on his shoulder and we watch the explosion of colors outside, waiting to drift to sleep.
