As a child, I always liked the cartoon, Megamind. The story of a bad guy becoming the good guy and getting the girl all because the good guy was not interested in being the good guy and much less the girl. I always wished I could be like Megamind, being the bad guy and getting the girl.
On a warm sunny day on a bustling street, people rushing to and from work, mothers rushing to and fro in grocery shops trying to purchase ingredients and fathers scrambling looking for decorations. It was that time of the year where families get together, those alone spend with friends. Everyone was wildly trying to get work done before the holiday season began. In a busy fast-food joint, people drop by to get to get quick lunch breaks before getting back to work, those with time on their hands and foodies take their time to bloat their stomachs or look out the glass window, staring at people who rush back and forth. Such people think of how they are going to be alone at this time, no family, no companion, their friends spending time with their families. Little do they know that they are far off better than an eight year old boy sitting in a dark alleyway next to the fast-food joint.
He sits alone, no food, no water, no companion. He sits waiting for who knows what, staring at the opposite wall. A gust of cold wind passes, but he does not bother to find warmth neither does he pay attention to the shiver that passes through his body. Every minute he looks around hoping to find something or someone. He sits there for hours, staring at the the wall and repeatedly looking around. In the dark night, the boy remains in the same position, his stomach growls and he ignores it, after all this is not the first time he had gone a day without eating.
The next day, a boy in black ripped jeans, white t-shirt and sneakers walks towards a restaurant. On his left ear he had a black studded earrings with a matching bracelet on his right wrist. He had a crew cut with his jet black hair and dark chocolate eyes, his aura gave off a rich vibe which drew most people’s attention. He walked into the restaurant drawing attention again, but he kept on walking. A few minutes later, he came out holding a take out paper bag and more people turned to look at him, he gave an eye-roll and decided to take an alleyway next to the restaurant.
As he walks halfway through, he feels something staring at him but takes it as the people from before still staring at him, so he continues. But suddenly he comes to a stop.
