I woke up at the house, relieved to be home. I looked at my shoulder, it looked awful! Then looked at my hand, it looked better. Then my leg, it wasn't..... bad. I need to leave this room! I feel as though I've been in here for so long! I got to my feet ignoring the pain that welled in my leg, and walked to the door. It was locked? Why was it locked? I started yanking on the door nob, and smacking my hands against the door. I started screaming.

"Open the door!" I yelled.

Nobody was coming. I turned around and slid down the door and sat on the ground. I brushed my bangs out of my face, where was Drake? Why wouldn't he unlock the door? I started panicking thinking about what could have happened. I kicked at the door, the lock loosening, I kicked it again making it even more loose, and finally I turned a little facing my right shoulder to the door, forgetting all about my wound and slammed into the door knocking it open and falling to the floor. I jumped up, and searched the house. I ran into the kitchen and slipped on the floor. I moaned when I heard someone run into the kitchen about 30 minutes later.

"What happened?" Drake asked curiously.

"Why did you lock the door?" I asked.

"I didn't want you coming out and hurting yourself, turned out the lock wasn't enough to prevent that." He joked. I laughed a little, then moaned. There was an awful pain in my shoulder.

"Are you alright?" Drake asked anxiously. I answered by throwing my arms up in the air. Drake got the message, he picked me up and carried me to the couch and sat down next to me.

"You want to tell me where you went last night?"

"I went for a walk, I passed the alley where I almost died and...... he got me, he took me away again! While we were there, they tortured me stabbing me in the shoudler, hand, and leg. One of the men had helped me escape from the dreadful experience. On the way home.... I fell and someone else took me to the hospital. I insisted that he take me home, and he did."

It went silent as he looked at my hand which was stained with dry blood.

"I'm fine now, it's just a little pain I can handle it." I told him.

He stood up, I decided I would try to stand up. So I slowly made my way up, he hugged me when I got there, I hugged him back, once again in the arms of someone I loved. I felt safe again, unlike when I was in the alley on my own. I let go and limped to the window looking outside to see children with their parents. It looked like they were light something on fire. Then a spark lit up by the fire and flashing went off. I flinched away from the window startled by the bright light. I tripped over a bag and hit the floor. I wasn't worried about the pain in my leg I was worried about the bag. What was in there? I opened the bag to see fireworks inside. I flashed Drake a questioning gaze.

"You've been asleep you a long time. For about a month." He said sadly.

"You hit your head on the desk and you were unconscious for weeks. Its July 3rd." He told me slowly.

I looked at him joy in my gaze. I jumped to my feet.

"Well, where are we going to light them off?" I asked.

"That's..... a surprise." He said smiling.

We were in the car for what seemed like forever when finally, we stopped. I looked out the window, we were parked on a tall hill, and in front of us, was a beautiful lake that I didn't even know was there. The sun was setting, Drake stepped out of the car and walked around and opened the door. I stepped out and looked into his eyes smiling. He closed the door and walked me over to a spot where the view was amazing! We sat down on the green grass and watched as the sun set behind the lake. Forgetting all about the fireworks I leaned on Drake and put my arms around him.

"thanks." I said smiling. He leaned over and kissed my cheek. there was no where else I'd rather be than right there beside Drake!
