"Mommy, when is daddy coming home" Caroline asks. "In a little bit," "promise?" "I promise." I said. Ashley texted me about an hour saying he was driving home. "Hey. Mom. Can you come here, Tucker is tickling me! Again!" Violet screamed from upstairs. "Stay here baby," I said to Caroline.
I walked upstairs to see Violet wiggle around, her high pitch laugh booming around the room, and Tucker was poking and tickling her. "Mom! Get him to stop!" Violet laughed. "Okay. Tucker, I know your dads not here to help so you have to stop." I spoke down to him. "Okay Mrs.Purdy," he said looking down. I could see a smile creep on his face. "I told you, call me Lyric." I said walking out of the room.
Once I was in the kitchen I saw that Caroline was playing with something. "Carl, what are you doing," Carl was Ashley's nickname for her. Caroline got up and ran to to couch. "Baby, where's my phone." she must have had it. "Momma, daddy text you." She looked sad and gave me my phone. "I'm sorry I took your phone." I could see her eyes start to fill with tear. "Oh, it's okay. Just be careful, make sure you don't break it. Okay," I said picking her up. I checked my phone and I really did have a text from Ashley. I opened the text and put Caroline on the counter.
ASHLEY:
Hey baby, I'll be home in 10 mins. Get the kids ready. Even Tucker. Me and the boys are taking everybody out tonight.
ME:
Okay. I will. We all miss you. See you in 10.
I put my phone down and picked up Caroline, taking her upstairs. "Hey. Violet, Tucker can you guys get dress." I said walking up the stairs. "But we are" Tucker said from "his" room. "I mean in nice clothes," I put Caroline down and got her clothes. Then when to check if the others were dressed.
"Violet, what are you laughing at," I say. She was laying in her bed laughing at, well, what ever was on her phone. "Oh, dad he says that he brought something for us. Then Cc stole his phone. And well, he's spamming me with selfies." Violet out of breath, she could barely speak she was laughing so hard.
~10 minutes later~
"Tucker, your dad is sending me weird things." Caroline said from the couch. "He's still like sending you things, it's been like 10 minutes!" Tucker said in a valley girl tone. "Just like your father." I said laughing. Just then the door opens. Caroline jumps off the couch and runs to the door. "Oh, hello baby, how are you!" I voice says. "Good, I missed you daddy!" "I missed you to, where's mommy?" He said. I walked over to the door. Ashley put Caroline down and she ran back to the couch. "Hey beautiful, I missed you so much." He said grabbing me waist and pulling me in for a hug, kissing my cheek. "You have no idea how many night I didn't sleep" I sighed. "Oh I think I can. I slept, what felt like 6hours, the whole 3 months." He said. I could see his eyes get misty. "I love you so much, I miss you so much." "I love you." He said.
We got the kids in the car. We gave tucker back to Cc and headed to the restaurant. "Violet, how's that boy friend of yours." Ashley said. Knowing it would make Violet blush. "Daadd," Violet said. "What, I just want to no. As a father it's my job to no these things. I've been gone 3 months. It's the least yo could tell me." He poked. "We're good. It was out 1 year anniversary, like 3 weeks ago. So Ya, how's your girl friend?" Violet said laughing. "Well, it was our 7 year anniversary before I left and she's not my girl friend, she's my wife." Ashley said in a mocking tone. "Wow, 7 years. Mommy that's a long time." Caroline said from the back seat. We all laughed.
Once we got to the restaurant Ashley asked about the reservation. "Reservation for Biersack" "right this way" the man said and brought us to our table. Andy and Juliet were there. "Heyy. Ashley, long time not see." Andy jokes. "Your so funny, I can't stop laughing." Violet sarcastically says. "Your a little butt face" Andy scowled. Violet rolls her eyes and sits down beside Juliet. Soon everyone arrives, we talk about there time on the tour bus and make plans to come back to me and Ashley's place. After everyone was finished eating, we all split the bill and drove to our house.
