Gediz

Nare was thoughtful, silent. He was too. He was so angry about everything that day that he didn't even speak to her.
She was at his side, looking at him with desperate expectation. The balcony of his office gave him some air, which he needed more than ever after fighting with Sancar.
That confrontation hurt, but internally he knew that would one day come.
Nare had now chosen. She had chosen him.
He often found himself wondering if this was all a product of her imagination.
-Gediz, Gediz? - Nare's voice confirmed that they were in the real world. He was absorbed in his thoughts by the time he answered Nare.
-Sorry, sorry. I ... I just have too much on my head.- He held Nare's hand and kiss her. She smiled at his touch.
-I understand how you feel. But, everything will be fine, okay? Everything will improve. I have a feeling that everything will be fine. -She said putting on her best smile.
Gediz hugged her and stayed a second with her. It was calming, healing to feel that she was also at his side.
-This is a disaster, Nare. But at least you are with me.-was the first thing that he thought.
-Always, always.-replied Nare.

Beren leaned out the door, knocking slowly.
-I really hate interrupting, but there are things we should talk to Gediz, Nare.-she said seriously.

-I'll see you later- Nare nodded and retreated from there and left them alone.

Gediz went to the desk and his friend sat on the other side. He raised his hands to his head with concern. He looked at Beren, who was watching him with narrowed eyes, with some suspicion in them. Gediz took a pen from the table , and started playing with the lid to calm his stress. After a few tries he put it on the table. Beren looked at him with great surprise.

-First of all, can you explain what is happening here? What was all that yelling with the guy that came into the office?
-Sancar. His name is Sancar.
-He is Sancar...
-Yes
-Is that your great friend, your "brother"? - she made the gesture of quotation marks with her fingers-How can you be your friend? I mean, he literally seems to be about to kill someone all the time.
-Sometimes I don't even know, but you see, it happened. He got angry, made a scandal as always. He loves starliness.
-Will you tell me what made you fight?-she relaxed her face.
-Beren, I don't want to talk about it now. I am tired and furious, which makes me a terrible conversationalist.
Beren changed her face from calm to haughty, the one she did when he discovered something.
-Tell me that he's not your girl's ex.- He remained silent, looking away as fast as he could to mislead his friend. "I knew it! I'm never wrong with these things, you know. I saw how I look at her at the entrance."
Beren was so perceptive that sometimes it irritated him. But also, he liked to see her perspective on everything. Beren was extremely objective. If she had to tell him he was behaving like an idiot, she would.
-Do you know how irritating you are when you're a smart guy? -Beren smirked. -
-I know.-she went down her gaze-that's why you fought, right? He knows that you and Nare are together,I guess.
Gediz didn't speak,but Beren insisted.
-Don't give up on her, Gediz. I'm serious. I don't know her that much, but I know you. I know how you fight when you want something, and believe me, I've never seen you shine as bright as when that girl is with you. You always did what others wanted, your job, the company. It's time for you to do what makes you happy.
-I'm not afraid of what they will say, I'm just afraid that someone will hurt her, that someone else here says something that makes her feel sadder than she sometimes feels.
-They will understand it.When they see how happy you are, they will understand it.And if not, they screw it. It's your life and no one has the right to comment on that. Fight. Don't give up. -she changed her tone of voice -And regarding Sancar, I think that would happen one day. If he doesn't understand it, then it doesn't make sense such a friendship. If he were your friend, he would want your happiness.
-I wish he saw it like you...
-Well, he will have to. Because otherwise their friendship was worth nothing. Friendship is as valuable as any other relationship, and it is worth a lot. You mean that to me. No matter what happened before, we will always be for each other, and you know that. -She reached across the desk. He extended his and took hers. -Gediz, I want you to be happy, I really want it.-
He felt some emotion in her voice, which was strange. "Ah, look at you. Canada has made you sensitive," he replied sarcastically.
She released her hand immediately. "You won't see it again, so engrave it on your retina."
